Oho this is a great Vlog James, Thank you. Did you have to book camp sites and refuses in advance?

Thanks ☺️ I just turned up to each one without any issues. Many will save some spaces for people doing the TMB even if they’re turning others away because they’re full. When I went back in August, the campsite in Chamonix itself was completely full a couple of times though, but there are many more further down the valley around Les Bossons, for example.

@@janinelouw1730 thanks 🙂 So we wild camped in the couple of kilometres after Rifugio Bonatti, in the woodland a couple of kilometres before Champex-Lac, at Lacs des Cheserys (after the first section of ladders but before Lac Blanc) and at Lac du Brévent just a few hundred metres off the trail. We had free camping at Refuge de Miage on night one, Refuge de la Balme on night two and by the toilets in Ville des Glaciers on night 3, then paid campsites at Hobo Camping (bus from Courmayeur), La Fouly and La Peuty.
