I didn't know Marian's last name was Kelly until now. Always wished she was a playable character in the mainline games, even if it was through a cheat device like game genie, I mean you can play as Jimmy Lee for the first screen with one, and several mod's from others let you play as the enemies. ( Mostly Double Dragon II)
I've played this game via arcade emulator. Never figured out how to pull off the move she does at 2:57. Would probably have been *way* better at this if I had. It seems to be a very effective finisher.
After so many times being kidnapped, now Marian can fight too. The only NGCD game I tried was King of Fighters 97. The soundtrack is slightly different.
One complaint I've heard about this game is how very different Marian is here compared to other DD games. In those, sge is pretty much just the damsel in distress. Here she kicks butt and takes names.
Never heard of a DD fighting game before, but this had some cool innovations. I really liked the way the fighters entered the fight, each in a different way (haha Marian jumpkicks Jimmy’s training partner out of the way). It was cool to see a beast like Abobo transform too. Great playthrough, good skill.

I don't know what happened back in the 90s, in Fatal Fury 2, Mai Shiranui was like "don't call me 'babe'". This is a 1995 game, and Marian mocks the male opponents she defeat. I mean, I don't expect Marian to be a bimbo, but it gives an idea that she either dislikes men or is too demanding about them. I don't think she is a "bra burner".
Every new video, I feel like. "Yes, I know this character, she's my favourite, good choice, good choice of moves in miniature" ^^ I wish to discover some game I don't know yet and with a girl I don't know yet. (But I played many of them even very obscure ones... So, not easy...
Wow, the remix music sounds better than the arcade version(except that saxophone theme). I wonder if this game actually started life a original IP before last minute changes were made to slap the Double Dragon branding.
These mechanics are really good, and I don't really care about all that. The point is everything is solid and not over or under packed. I only think of SNK doing that well. I prefer fighting games that have something extra but not something I have to research, I can just learn it in the game (like SNK's rolling and fall-down avoiders).
Hard to believe this fighting game is based on the awful live action adaption. Then again the game was made by the same company who made Double Dragon.
