Haha yeah, sorry for the wait. I have been a little preoccupied IRL, but i hope to get back to more of a regular schedule.

Take a break then! There are so many other great genres to check out. If you are looking for something completely different, a great historical fiction is 'The Power of One.' If you would like a recommendation for a sci fi fantasy blend I would definitely recommend Recursion by Blake Crouch

I read two books. Every plot point or side character built up in book 1 was dropped for book 2. I lost interest once I thought the plot or side characters wouldn't matter. If the world building was more interesting I might have read another but it was still pretty shallow by the end of book 2. But it is harder to world build with only one viewpoint.

That is a pretty decent point. Many of the pay offs set p in book 1 came through around book 3 and 4. Book 2 was definitely my least favorite though it did pick up!

ALL of the side characters come back and are very important and involved later on.

I really didn't like the stile of the first book and didn't finish it. My brother read it too and he liked it and the later books but he told me that the plot gets ridiculous and that there are a lot of plot holes. I would rather read another book of the Wandering Inn.

It is definitely not a perfected series, and you will have no disagreement with me about TWI. I am hoping we get the next audio book of TWI this summer!

I supported the author for many months on Patreon, but after spending a very, very long time on an arc I disliked immensely, I stopped reading and then stopped paying.

That's completely understandable! It is great you took the time to support in the first place!

@@FantasyInk Absolutely, right now I only support four authors on Patreon (authors of Path of Ascension, Primal Hunter, Savage Awakening and Beware of Chicken). I used to support DotF, Randidly and Divine Apostasy). Since I will up my working hours soon, I might add them or others again, though :)
