- Rescue 50 responding to assist Station 66 (Lancaster Twp) on a reported building fire. First arriving crews had a smoke condition and a smell of burning electrical components, the problem was traced back to an HVAC issue. Willow Street Fire Company. Taken 10/28/22

Q: "Where is this?"
A: Our fire house is located in the town of Willow Street, just south of Lancaster City, Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Q: "What is the spinning thing?"
A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.
Q: "Why is the call so far away?" or "Why does it take so long to get there?"
A: Many of our responses, or at least many of the ones that are uploaded are responding to assist other departments. Usually another firehouse can be seen or is passed by who is already on the call. We can reach the far end of our first due in West Lampeter Twp within 5 minutes, and in Providence Twp about 7.
Q: "What camera are you using?"
A: For dash cams I use a GoPro Hero 7, helmet cam videos I use a FireCam 1080
These guys are so good at their jobs they have probably save many lives I hope you can keep doing your job

I live just a minute drive away from BRFR 905, and remember that call. Could have gotten much more interesting with the apartment side exposures if it was a worker. Glad you guys came to assist.
Love watching the responses, I’m from Sweden, and we have some whole other fire trucks, and sirens for that matter, nonetheless, keep fighting, and keep up the good work y’all.

after watching many videos from this channel i am absolutely amazed that people acting move over for you! people in my area seem to be deaf and blind when a fire truck is approaching them!

4:57 props to the red escape quickly acknowledging you needed through there! Most drivers in my part of Pennsylvania would just sit there rather then move
the one guy at 4:05 someone pulls over for you and seeing a fire truck coming they decide to go out around the other vehicle using the turn lane!

On one run to a working structure fire, a lady in a SUV decided to FAFO by cutting us off… her truck got PUNTED by our Engine and she ended up a good 50 yards off the highway grabbing some air time as well… we felt nothing riding the back step lol… we just saw the truck flying into the air and spinning lol… needless to say we had to go out of service temporarily losing our first due status, but what ya gonna do lol

Is there a Speed Limit, for Ambulances ? Theorethical a here in German they can Drive fast as Posiible on Freeweays. That can be over 100 Miles per hour. In Towns the Limit is usual at about 80 km/h. (50 miles). But at Crossings the must be sure that they have be heatd and seen. They can go with full Speed over a Crossing.
