    do you do the clicks from full tight, or full soft? How do you know where to start from when you’re making adjustments?

    • @QA1TECH
      @QA1TECH  Год назад

      We typically recommend starting the clicks from full soft and adjusting from there. www.qa1.net/tech-center/tech-articles/how-to-determine-your-valving-on-qa1-shocks

    I think he got Compression and Rebound/Extension backwards. Comp should be what hits the track, Rebound controls the shock's extension

    • @QA1TECH
      @QA1TECH  4 года назад +2

      The extension of the axle downward (rebound) is what allows the tire to dig into the track during separation. The compression is the tire moving back up into the fender. A firmer compression after the hit of the tire will help hold the tire down to the track.

      @@QA1TECH right, but with when shifting weight, isn't the compression what makes the tire hit the ground? Do to the shift in weight, wouldnt a higher comp (making the compressing of the shock stiffer) be sending the tires into the ground? And the rebound, isn't that the rate in which the shock expands?

      @@coltenconneway1230 Gotcha. We see what you're saying. Yes, you are correct. Compression is also used for what you're explaining. Both explanations are correct. We're both just looking at it in different ways. Thanks for sharing yours! It's cool to see the way other people think about it.

    So if i have a 4 link car that slightly rattles the tires on a tight track around 60-100ft would that be a compression or rebound issue if its that soon, my guess would be to loosen compression by the this video, car is awesome on a hot track

    • @coltenconneway1230
      @coltenconneway1230 4 года назад

      I would have thought to actually tighten the compression?

      Sounds like it wants some more air pressure.

    so for a drag radial on a unprepped track, I want it more soft than stiff, right?
