I am very sorry that this video does not sound so nice because I am playing on my electric piano because the sound board on my piano is cracked and my subscriber Jeremy Borum is coming on Friday to fix it. You probably have to turn up the volume to hear it properly. Maybe I will make another recording of it when my piano is fixed because it sounds much better on my real piano. I hope that you still like it. Similarly to Jingle Bells, although this song doesn't mention Christmas it has become a Christmas song, especially in the Northern Hemisphere. Richard Bernhard Smith was inspired to write the lyrics after seeing the Central Park in Honesdale, Pennsylvania covered in snow. He wrote them while being treated for tuberculosis in the West Mountain Sanitarium in Scranton.
Another great Christmas song! Just so you know, I made a RUclips “short” using the music from your last video to raise awareness of your channel. I hope many more people will find it this way. 😃
Ah a different piano today Leander. I hope your usual one gets fixed. I must say this one has quite a good sound so never worry. You Have a good day. ⭐️👍👏👏👏👏👏
You’re right, your regular piano definitely sounds better - but I love this camera angle! I can see your right-hand work so much better with this view. 🤓
c est fantastique votre nouveau instrument et votre plaisir de jouer cet air de 1934 BON NOEL MON PETIT AINSI QUE POUR VOTRE FAMILLE .MERCI A VOUS TOUS........FABRICE🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🎄🎄🎄
Great work Leander ,you still convey all the excitement an professional experience we are a custom to but yes your old piano is the best ,thankyou mate 😊
Another wonderful performance, Leander. I think the piano sounds fine....seems to have a peasant, deep tone. Cracked sound board is a big repair; I hope it all goes well. Thank you for posting on the electric piano while your own console gets repaired.
Sounded absolutely fantastic, even on a digital piano. The complexity of the pieces you play, and the incredible speed at which you learn them, never ceases to amaze me. You have such a gift, Leander. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. 🎹🎶❤️
I just found you on youtube a few days ago and since then you brighten my day. You have such an uplifting way of playing your music. I hope your piano can be fixed. I know what pleasure it is to play on an old acoustic piano, although I never learned to play classical pieces. I whish you a verry merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.
Of course I still like. Love it and the festive lights surrounding you. You, yourself light up the world! What a good friend you have in Jeremy Borum. The sound board is a very big deal. Fingers crossed it gets repaired - although the sounds the piano offers now sound great. You make them great. Love, God bless, Pat
It sounds great! My upright piano was built in 1910 and has a cracked soundboard as well. Someone in the past had epoxied the soundboard to fix it but didn’t do a good job. I still play it anyway. I’ve had the piano since 1978 and taught myself to play with books. No RUclips back then.
I would still play it but now it's making such a terrible buzzing sound that the video I tried to make sounded terrible. What kind of music do you like to play on your piano?
You know, part of why I love this channel IS your piano playing! In fact, that is what first attracted me to listen. But after a while, I think your awesome personality made me feel at home like an old friend was playing piano and I was just enjoying the music. I don't know if you can understand that, but it feels like a friend is is playing and I'm invited :) So no matter what you are playing on, it's just nice to be hear to be allowed to participate:) Even the piano with the dead key was nice :) Thank you sir 😎😎😎 Thumbs up 👍👍👍
Wäre vielleicht schön, wenn es für Dich bald ein neues Klavier, oder sogar Flügel geben würde...? Vielleicht sogar als Weihnachtsgeschenk? Du bist echt fleißig und verbreitest gute Laune😊. Danke Dir!
pretty darn good for a fake piano. One good thing about electric key boards is that they don't need humidifiers. hope your can get your old Baldwin fixed.
I thoroughly enjoyed your playing even if it was an electronic piano. I think Genos 2 has a beautiful piano and sounds so real. However, are a true Marvel Little Leander. I had to listen twice. I am sorry that the soundboard has to be fixed on your piano. I had no idea that they could be fixed unless entirely removed and replaced. Maybe that is what your Piano fixer-up technician is going to do for you. But this still was lovely and I do miss you on your regular Piano. I had not even noticed that the soundboard was cracked. I didn't hear any buzzing from any of the keys when they were played. OH well, You would know you are the Maestro of your own little World. Thank you for the post I have to go back and listen to your Jingle Bells.🍒🍒🎄🎄❄❄🎅🎅🤶🤶🐧🐧😊😊😊😊😊😊🎅🎅🤶🤶🎅🎅🤶🤶
Can Leander read music or playing by ear? I restore player pianos the arrangements sound like tin pan ally era QRS rolls arrangements , Where is his he hearing these old songs to learn them? hes very good.
Hey, Christmas buddy! I always prefer the sound of a "real" acoustic piano, but the electronic one sounds good, too, because of the way you play it. I'm glad that one is available to you so we can still enjoy your music while your piano is awaiting repairs. I would be sad if you weren't able to continue your Christmas series. Today's song is one I certainly cannot play, but I could sing it for you. I don't know why, but Winter Wonderland is one of the more enjoyable ones for me to sing. I guess is just has a good range and tempo for me. Take care! I'm making an edit because I just took a look at Jeremy's bio. When he comes to work on your piano, can you ask him if he ever had (or has) any affiliation with Sony Music Publishing? That's who I work for. I see that he had some affiliation with EMI, and we bought that company about three years ago, so maybe he has worked with Sony, too. 😄
Well -- you're right -- your acoustic piano does sound much better. But you made it through -- nice playing! I would definitely like to hear it on the acoustic piano -- I hope Jeremy can fix it -- a broken soundboard can be a problem. Do you have some way to add humidity to the piano -- or room? Houses typically dry ourt in the winter due to heating systems being in use (plus the winter air is drier ...) The Korg Grandstage is a good digital instrument -- you might even be able to get more nuance with it than you acoustic piano. Sometimes a better recording can be made with a digital instrument by plugging it directly into the camera (if your camera has an audio input jack) instead of recording it using the built-in speakers -- plus sometimes tweaking some of the parameters -- reverb, choice of piano, touch, etc.. Looking forward to what comes next! PS -- that chair is too low -- I wouldn't want to see you play very long like that -- very hard on wrists, hands, shoulders -- you need to be about an inch to an inch and a half higher -- you need your wrists to be more level... PPS -- the Korg has some great organ sounds to try -- maybe one day you'll do an organ video!

Interesting arrangement, Leander. You played it well. I Love the hat.

Fantastic well done I really enjoyed listening to you play the piano 👍🎶🎹
This is just so festive ... thank you, Leander.
You’re right, your regular piano definitely sounds better - but I love this camera angle! I can see your right-hand work so much better with this view. 🤓
This sounds great to me! Your soundboard probably cracked because you give it such a great workout every day. It can't keep up with you!

I hear a wonderful bass coming off of that electric piano!

How wonderful to have a backup piano! I like your decorations all around.

Loved it. Glad you had a backup piano you could use and that your main one is getting fixed.
Such joy for Christmas! Thanks buddy!

This piano does have a much different sound! But still enjoyed your choice of song - been looking forward all day to seeing and hearing you play.
I still like it a lot. You are a very talented artist. You are amazing playing the piano/keyboard. Do you also sing or play different instruments?
Wäre vielleicht schön, wenn es für Dich bald ein neues Klavier, oder sogar Flügel geben würde...?

Hello leander...how do you mend a broken soundboard?
Great playing as always.
Happy Christmas from
