Hello, unfortunately I have limited knowledge on this particular case. But as far as I know, once you pay the fees, they are non refundable. So it might not be possible to remove dependent from the application.

Hi @ml3081, As per my knowledge OFC is the first step in the visa application process. At the OFC, applicants provide biometric information such as fingerprints and a photograph. This step is mandatory for most visa applicants. Regarding cancellation of the OFC, I have never experienced this issue so my knowledge is very limited in this area. But it seems a technical issue to me. Have you tried to go through some agent? They should know these kind of issues and how to tackle them.

Thank you so much. I attended the interview in Japan. Technically you can apply for a US visitor visa from any country (not necessarily India), but you have to have a valid reason. Do you mean you wanted to apply for b1b2 visa but you ended up applying for journalist visa? If your application is not processed yet, submit another DS-160 with correct details. If not, then contact the consulate/embassy.

Hello, about getting visa appointment quickly, please try as per the way I have mentioned in the video. Though it is not a guaranteed way, it worked for me. Regarding reason, I think visiting your close friend is a strong enough reason. Prepare detailed itinerary of your trip. Also make sure to mention that, you will go back to Canada after your visit.

I attended the interview in Japan. Technically you can apply for a US visitor visa from any country (not necessarily India), but you have to have a valid reason.

This is not a recommended way off applying for US visa. There could be lots of questions because you are not a resident of Japan.
