I am working on making time in the morning to spend with God. It's a very difficult thing for me cause I love my sleep. I've always been the type to have work clothes laid out, lunch made, coffee on a timer, etc. all so I can sleep until the last moment before I roll out of bed and head straight out the door for my work day.
Thanks for sharing this Kevin! I can totally relate to that! I used to sleep the longest I could until I needed to actually get up to be at work on time. One day I decided to just get up 5 minutes earlier to read a couple Bible verses. Nothing big, but still something. It was much easier than saying “I’m getting up 30 minutes earlier” because I knew I wouldn’t commit to that. After the first day, it was easier the next day to do it again. Eventually, instead of 5 minutes I did 10 minutes earlier, then 15 and I found that I was able to spend some quality time with the Lord because of that. Hope that helps because I know exactly how you’re feeling. I appreciate you!
Today is Saint Barnabas Sunday his feast day is on Tuesday but today is the Sunday we recognize Saint Barnabas. And Saint Barnabas is the Saint that my church is named for.
