@@srishtikumari6664 srishti as sir said it is true that warm air subsides but actually in simple words when warm air rises upwords due to eye wall it cannot go outward and when it moves upwards it becomes cooler and become denser hence due to denser it subsides so it is warm air only after becoming cooling subsides.. 😊 hope u got it
@@shivangi9137 well this has been my doubt since I started studying cyclones. " As we all know that the eye of the cyclone is very narrow as compared to its walls with strong spiralling ascent of air. It reaches untill the tropopause and then spreads out to enlarge in size .During this phenomenon , the warm air is released by the latent heat of condensation at the vicinity of the eye wall or at the eye in the upper ceiling. But the warm air cannot rise any further upwards due to one main reason - the warm air at the centre of the eye is compressed by the eye walls having more density ,creating higher pressure than at the surface causing the warm air to finally subside at the relatively lower pressure eye . (compressed air has higher pressure ) .

I have one doubt. Why does the warm air subside in the eye region. Warm air is generally less denser so there is no possibility of it sinking down right
Latent heat plays a very important role in thunderstorms and hurricanes. Clouds form when warm air rises and the water vapor it contains condenses onto particles called cloud condensation nuclei. At that point the air becomes saturated. When this air first begins to rise, the water vapor is in the gaseous phase. When the water vapor condenses to form clouds, it releases latent heat into the atmosphere. The latent heat then warms the surrounding air around the new cloud droplet causing instability. The warm air around the cloud droplet will now want to rise and condense. This increases the cloud height and depending on how unstable the atmosphere is, thunderstorms could form from these growing clouds. Thunderstorms release enormous amounts of latent heat which adds to the instability in the atmosphere causing some thunderstorms to become severe. In hurricanes, latent heat is released within the clouds of the hurricane, warming the air inside the clouds. Hurricanes feed off of this latent heat release because it causes instability within the cloud and this warm air will want to rise. The storm will then intensify, or gain strength.

The warm air that is just above the eye does not subside rather the air which is becoming cooler with increase in altitude subsides down as it becomes heavy due to cooling.

In the formation of trop. cyclone, you explained that due to latent heat, the air warms up and subside. Bt warm air is less dense and it should rise instead of sinking. Kindly explain why air being warm descends?

Very Informative Video But at 22:15 I have got confused regarding the Latent Heat moving down? The air around the latent heat generation will be warm and it shall rise up. Please explain the same. Because that's the only doubt remaining.
It doesn't stay hot. It radiates heat to space, so cools. Also, if air is rising in the thunderstorms, the air has to be sinking somewhere else (the air doesn't all accumulate at the top of the troposphere), so there has to be some descending air to balance the rising air.
Sir correct me if I am wrong ..You taught that because of the release of the latent heat the air would get warm up and subside however, the warm air always rises up then how is it possible? Please elaborate!
