It was really cool that they played the song for the fan who lost his son. Losing a child is something I would never wish on anyone and it was a really nice gesture by Amon Amarth, it shows they really care about their fans.

a viking was not just an brute he was a man who fought for his family first then for his glory. he could be an strategic man or just an plain crazy guy... no matter what an viking was an proud warrior who took his prizes whatever they may be... im proud to be norwegian and know that i got viking blood in my veins
and they truly loved their friends like brothers and moarned when they died
My parents were born in Normandy, in France, and in the past, the vikings came in Normandy, so I can be proud to be the Children of Vikings (even if their name (and mine) seem to come from Celtic culture).

Wow! The first metal album I bought was Iron Maiden's Piece of mind too!!! My brother was listening to Ramones, Black Sabath, Maiden, Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Rainbow and Scorpions. I loved The trooper and Flight of Icarus.
Looking forward to the new album however jomsviking is a great album
