Thank you for posting. I was in the Honor Guard in 91-94. Also did firing party. Good to see the kept our silent pull routine a buddy and I came up with to increase odds of perfect volley. :) before that they had the NCOIC call our "ready, aim, pull". He will have amazing memories from his time there!! Even if he is in a bit of pain right now. LOL.
I was in the Reese AFB Honor Guard from 1977 to 1980. The most difficult training of all was synchronizing the shots of the firing party so that they all went off at the same time without a ripple effect. It was not easy at all.
Nope, the military brings in little kids, puts them in a schoolhouse, and then gives honor guard live rounds to fire at them for practice. It makes for much better ceremonies... Lol. I'm assuming you're like 12...
@@colors-bx7ly Awesome, always nice to hear positive comments. So many people apparently can’t tell the difference between training and qualified. Thank you for your service!
LOL, of course the barracks is there. That is their barracks and their training ground. And obviously, they are firing blanks. The location is meaningless.
@@demiancarras6938 Yes, I get it. You’re proud to be a clown and you live in a tent. You convinced me with your first post. Have a great Navy Day, Bozo.👍
Thanks Daniel. They are cool to watch. I am going to D.C. next week to watch him perform. I'll post another video of what he looks like now at an actual ceremony.
That command voice! Whoo!
They've got some learning still to do here.
Yup.
Would explain why we’re watching a video of them practicing

Assalamualaikum my brother, I am here again to continue to support you, I wish you good health and success always
You have no idea how much it means to own one of those shell casings; when your best friend died for that flag.
I do actually. Throughout my career, I lost many of my Shipmates. Gone but not forgotten. I'm sorry for your loss.
0:56 I hope those are blanks, they just fired at a school I think

That is the HG Dorm.
Nah... they give them AP rounds. 😒
For your country ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well, they are trading/practicing. I’m sure they will get to pulling ‘boomers’. I takes time. the manual isn’t easy to master.
This was years ago. They all mastered the art, performed their duties and long since moved on.
@@Navalav8r No worries. training is for correcting mistakes. it’s all good. I was at the reunion and the squadron looked good.

Wow how standards have dropped
The standards have not dropped in the least. These airman were new and only training to become qualified.
Wow.... smh.... are these people qualified?
No Todd, they were not qualified. Hence the "My son training" in the opening comment. They were all new to the command.
Really curious how I stumbled across you commenting on this last time I checked you've never been in the military. Small world
