Good reaction - always expect the unexpected with BABYMETAL. This video had footage from the legend Metal Galaxy shows in January 2020 and from the Songs of Tokyo Festival (a TV special sort of thing I think, with no audience - for obvious reasons) in October 2020. The studio recording does have a lot of auto tune on the vocals. So much so that a lot of people didn't think this could be played live. They were so wrong. Su absolutely knocks the vocals out of the park in live performances, the only vocal effects are on the harmonies etc on the backing track. It hits hard and the crowds on the UK and European tour who witnessed it have all said how this song was taking the roof off every venue (it certainly did at Hammersmith in London where I saw it for myself). I have 'borrowed' this information (again) - "They talked about 'BxMxC' in a recent interview. SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. (Typical J-Pop recording has the session singer record demo vocals once the arrangement, lyrics and melody are finished. Then the group uses that demo as a guide to do their recording. BABYMETAL doesn’t record in the J-pop style, they do it like a rockband.) SU-METAL: But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget! MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall? SU-METAL: Uh…what was it… KOBAMETAL (who happened to be there): Flow? SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind." 'BxMxC' almost certainly means BABYMETAL Cypher - but until that is officially confirmed I'm of a like mind with a few others that it would be more fun to believe it stands for 'Bring Moa Chicken'. In another relatively recent interview the firat question Moa was asked was "How are you feeling right now?" Typically Moa answered "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens."
During the song they say "Tekina Metaru Saifa" that it can be translated "Like a metal Cypher", so most likely BMC stands for BabyMetal Cypher, or BabyMetal Metal Cypher! And from what I understood it's really difficult to translate this song, since it has a lot of play on words and puns, so you just have to "feel it" :D

BxMxC or Baby Metal Cypher, a Cypher is a code that cannot be decoded without the key 🔑 What the song is, is a triumph of genre-hopping. Baby Metal were already established as successfully breaking out of traditional metal, with BxMxC Su is just showing off, adding not only rap, but rapping with that unique upward inflection on the end of each chorus line. They don’t call her the Queen for nothing!
That's BABYMETAL for you. When you think you have them figured out they release something ALIEN. When I first heard this song on their newest album I remember shaking in excitement : this was so different yet so good in ways words couldn't describe. Ah well. Also by the way this is a compilation. A well enough made one but a compilation nonetheless. I believe the audio is exclusively from LMG though and they cut some parts because the break and ending are longer than that at that show.

That was different, wasn't it? Even for BABYMETAL, who are not exactly known to be a one-trick pony, this stands out. It took me a few listens to comprehend the full awesomeness. The album version is full of autotune, so I didn't expect them to ever play this live. But like you, I was amazed that Su managed to pull it off live without the effects, and the result is just as good, if not better. My admiration of this young lady doesn't stop growing.

GJ Babymetal can do any style and yet it becomes their genre as soon as they do. No matter what they do they still sound like Babymetal. And that's cool. Sometimes when bands do things like that. That one song becomes a hit for them and then when folks hear the rest of their songs they feel like WTF. But with Babymetal it's very different. When they do something different, Folks ask oh but can you do this too? For Babymetal the answer at this point is we did that, just wait to see what we do next. Now we all hope a tour comes next, cause that means covid is done. Yup, a new album would be cool too.

There are some very good cell phone video's of BMC that are awesome. They show the crowd interaction close up and you can hear the crowd going off as they get into this song when it first came out.
BMC seems to be very popular overseas. But I don't listen to rap music so much. To be honest, I don't like this song so much, too. There are many Japanese musicians who do rap in domestic, but I didn't like it because they looked like a rap imitation, done by real Black People. But I feel the uniqueness of BABYMETAL's rap though I can not explain well. As usual, it is a pattern that my foolish thoughts is overturned by their live performances. Thank you from Japan.
@@autohmae Yes, I think so. Su-'s rap doesn't have the English-like intonation of Westerners, or Afro African people which Japanese singers often do. That's why it feels great to listen to, I think. Oh it's most definitely an effect. But it's being done live. So that's pretty cool. That's taking a risk. At one of the smaller shows it went a tiny bit sideways and she sounded a little like a fish. This might be their weirdest song but it might not. There are lots of candidates. Most Babymetal songs are weird. Have you done Yava? It's a great song it's done with a SKA beat. One of their best songs and very unique.
You need to stick with the Japanese Female Metal and go with NEMOPHILA-DISSENSION. Best up and coming band for 20/21. Its Japanese so these lady musicians are brilliant as you'd expect. Plus zero blocking from a record company.
