A warning for anyone that wants to try this. If you start this and get a couple weeks or a month in it may be hard to switch back if you decide it’s not for you. My mom and dad switched over to barefoot shoes and after 2 weeks they tried to wear there normal shoes because they couldn’t handle the foot pain anymore. But when they tried there old shoes it actually hurt them more. So if you do this for long enough switching back will get harder. We all ended up sticking with it and actually really like barefoot shoes. But just a heads up. This actually may be a good thing because it almost forces you to stick with it but it is something you should be aware of.
In 6 months Vivo's (and Merrill Vapor Gloves) cured my 20 year old knee injury that had never healed and was getting worse. I know I walk differently now because people don't hear me approach anymore. Went to barefoot shoes years ago and my feet still get tired sometimes but that seems like how it should be. Barefoot shoes are keeping me running at 60. Vivo's are way better quality than VGs but I still love them both
I've foxwalked since I was born and no one's noticed yet, but they all notice that nobody can hear me when I walk. I scare everyone without trying to. I'm planning to put some Lems Boulder Boots on my Christmas list this year. They'll be my first barefoot shoes if I get them cause man are shoes wrecking me at work..

I do cat foot everywhere now though soooo that's an issue at work I never thought I'd have... I'm too quiet so the management thinks I'm trying to scare people. Ive had my vivos for a few years, but I'm definitelly not "barefoot only" kinda person. My problem with the "ideology" (I've seen people who are so much into it they'll call other people names for wearing non-barefoot shoes) is that although our feet are mean't to "feel" the ground and adapt to it, they didn't evolve walking on the surfaces most of us walk on today. Sure, dry soil can be quite hard, but it's noting compared to concrete or cobblestonest. I love wearing my barefoot shoes for walks in the nature, but I always think twice before taking them to the city, especially if I know I will be walking a lot (I'm European and I try to walk everywhere). If anyone wants to enlighten me on why I should wear minimalist shoes even on the unfriendly surfaces of modern cities, I'd be happy to listen (or read I suppose) :)

This would be my concern as well, Tereza, interested to hear people's thoughts. I imagine part of the answer is that unfriendly surfaces are just something we're supposed to find ways to deal with, which you normally don't have to in more cushioned shoes. I haven't taken the leap yet but I think it's the way to go. Can't say I'd be too thrilled about no more big strides though, don't wanna be a weird shuffler!
So I've bought my Primus a few days ago and it hurts 😅 my feet hurt everyday now, but my knee pain from ACL tore 7 years ago is gone Tit for tat, huh? I'm sure my feet will become stronger and the pain will go away, but I'm very careful with walking too much at the moment.
Because the magnate shoe companies who make billions of dollars off of you buying their footwear, don't want to change, and the don't want you to know. So they spend a lot of money (marketing - and other shadier things) to make sure you don't hear about alternatives. Their shoes are made of cheap materials, which wear out quickly, which means you need to replace them often, and spend more money on their stuff. (And the cycle continues...)
@@trueetiquette You will adjust eventually. It's how were designed. My plantar fascia was healed after a few months of shifting to zero drop minimal shoes. Not even using one of the big shoe brands either.

Sure, I care about hacking girlfriends instagram, I guess it was you who left the comment that this video was VERY interesting,, NO WAY a real female would write a comment like that
Really good summary my friend, Thank you. At 54 and a little overweight I was concerned it would be a tough transition, but after a couple of weeks of aches and pains (because my feet were using parts unused for years) the benefits are amazing, and I actually feel really engaged with what's going on under my feet and want to walk more and on varying terrains. Doing 20k steps a day and never going back to "normal" shoes again :-)
Nice review! Only thing I'd add is to recommend not wearing the shoes all day at the beginning but slowly progressing into full-time use. I heard that after 12-18 months you are ready to run a half marathon in them ;)
@@aight365 sorry, i mean that in my opinion its recommended to use barefoot shoes rather than "normal" shoes for standing and walking even if its your first time. Just put on a good socks! 👍
Thank you for this Mike! I have been looking for honest and clear reviews and I’m finally making my decision in purchasing the shoes despite the price. Health over Wealth
Great review. For the record, in case somebody is looking for additional experiences with Vivobarefoot shoes, I own 5 or 6 pairs of Vivos that I use for walking and running. I agree on almost all aspects mentioned in the video regarding these shoes apart from the toebox size, which is spacious, don't get me wrong, but I still think it can be slightly bigger (the shoes' big-toe alignment tapers slightly inwards when the optimal scenario would be a straight line); and durability, which for me hasn't been that great, yes, the upper part of the shoes held up nicely, but the soles worn off for me in less than 18 months, exposing the puncture-resistant mesh of the shoes and making them permeable to water. Your mileage may vary, but my experience could have been better regarding durability even though I alternate between my shoes. If I have to give an estimate on the soles' durability I'd say they last around 500-700 km.
I got about 12-18 months before the inside crease tears in my 2 pairs of Primes (not terrible given they're so light). I found them very comfortable, but a little clammy - they're synthetic so they retain moisture/condensation. Also! Don't wash the insole, they get floppy and move around under your feet if they lose their rigidity.
I've been barefoot now for a year. I own 3 pairs of Vivobarefoot shoes...he are worth every penny. ( though I buy on Black Friday only) . I own the women's Fulham boot ( Chelsea boot) my only 'everyday '/ non- athletic boot) it's the only one I wear all winter. I own a Primus lite and jing jing ballet. When I first started to change my footwear over I saw a lot of videos where people would say they would never go back to wearing conventional shoes and I thought it was just too extreme. I have several really nice everyday wear shoes that I wear with certain outfits etc. I replaced all my athletic shoes first but had stopped wearing all of my conventional shoes ( originally went barefoot because I had foot injuries and wanted to heal my feet naturally) I recently put on some of my wider conventional shoes ( my go to favourites) and I absolutely cannot stand the stiff sole even though they are flat. So there it is, now I am one of those people saying with every fibre of my being...I will never go back to wearing ANY conventional shoes for ANY occasion.
I'm sitting at a tram, wearing Peerko BF shoes and enjoying this video 🙂 me and my husband, we try to live healthy life and we are considered to be hysterical and crazy, overeating etc by majority of our society just because we are informed and not ignorant. That's so sad. They say I'm also crazy organic mother and that can hurt sometimes even when I'm trying to be tough.
for anyone looking for a minimal shoes that isnt 250$ just to try it out , saucony Bullet is around 60$usd with a 4mm drop and the same thickness as the vivo ones
He would. I spent some time in a very remote village where people didn't wear shoes at all. I asked them once if they like visiting the nearby city, and they said it's fun every once in a while except they can't deal with the shoes. They hate them.
I have had my eye on these for a while. I wear Altra Superiors for hiking, the Escalante for walking and working out. The wide toe box has ruined me for any other shoe. But the Altra brand has nothing in their women's line that are esthetically professional enough to wear to work. I was pleased to see that Vivobarefoot shoe does have a few styles that would look good enough to wear to work; I'm a stylist, and I gave up on fashion in favor of comfort years ago! Standing 10+ hours a day I still struggle to find a truly comfortable shoe, so, I just took the plunge and ordered a pair, I hope I'm not disappointed. Thanks for a great review.
@@snuscaboose1942 I have worn the Primus Lite lll for Several weeks now with no issue. I love the wide toe box and don’t miss all the extra “cushioning” traditional walking shoes tend to employ for Supposed comfort. The caveat may be that I stand on a textured mat while at work, so that does have a benefit. They look good; a client just returned from the Netherlands and asked where I got my shoes from as they looked European in design. I want a second pair!
@@sharonirons9828 Thank you, my wife is a hairstylist and needs a better shoe solution. She would wear heels in the past, but a decade or so has taken its toll on her knees. What is the mat you use? I've not heard of that, seems a great idea.
I read the book Born to Run and followed Barefoot Ted for years before buying a pair of his Luna Sandals. Years ago I ran in my Lunas and got injured. Wasn't until about two years ago I started wearing the sandals almost exclusively, outside of work. Then I lost my job about a year ago and was walking and biking only in the Luna Sandals. Just started running again. This time in my Luna Sandals. I was immediately able to run a good amount without that adjustment period you have with the average running shoes. It does take a good deal of time to get your body back to barefoot posture. Thanks for the review. You're not the first I've seen give them a great review. I'll get a pair if I ever need shoes again.
Barefoot shoes have been a gamechanger for my health and fitness, I love Vivobarefoot I have 3 pairs! I also recently got a pair of Xero shoes and I really enjoy them too, maybe check them out if you wanted to try something new? 😊 great video
My girlfriend had some chronic ankle tendon and shin splint issues for almost a year when we first started dating. I did some research and found that the highly cushioned shoes (Brooks ghosts) she was wearing all the time were actually doing more harm than good. After trying to explain for several weeks that this may be causing the issue, I convinced her to get a pair of xero shoes just to try, and after a month of wearing them her issues started to dissipate! Fast forward to more than a year later and she does not have these issues. I'm sure any minimalist shoe would have done the trick, but the prio is a really good price point and did the trick. I run in Altras mostly (zero drop), but definitely you want to try an even more minimalist shoe to reinforce good biomechanics. If my budget will allow, I would love to try these vivo barefoots and xero shoes. Cheers!
@@ogpigeon4431 I personally find my xero shoes more comfortable than my vivos however o have heard people say the opposite. I think it primarily comes down to your foot shape. Vivo have a great returns policy so you could always try them and see if you find them more comfortable or not?! 😀
I’m pretty convinced by the theories behind barefoot shoes, but all the videos I’ve seen on the subject are by young, fit guys. Anyone know older people that have made the switch or have been going barefoot for a long time? I’m on the young side myself and the fact is that our bodies will be mostly fine no matter what we do, if you’re not overweight and generally healthy. The proof is really what happens when we get older.
I'm pushing 60. I've been wearing Vivobarefoot, Lem's Boulder Boots, and Xero Shoes ZTrek sandals exclusively for five or six years. I am fit, but not trim. I work on concrete, and I hike 20-25 miles a week on weekends. I live in Maine, so winters limit my hiking a bit. There's a transition period; your calves and feet need strengthening, and you have to ease into it. I solved an MCL and Baker's cyst issue when I transitioned into barefoot shoes. It turns out a wide toe box and no arch support actually builds a stronger arch, and that supports your knee much more effectively. I can't imagine ever wearing "normal" shoes again.
I wear barefeet shoes, 53 years old and are 120kg. Improved ankle , knee and hip movement, my feet are stronger and more flexible. Wear my shoes everyday.
@@matthewdever2118 What shoes do you wear on concrete? I want to get Vivos for the sake of style (I've been wearing Xero, Lems, and Merrel since August of 2020 and my body has responded really well) since I work in an urban area but I'm cautious to how my feet will feel after walking on concrete for a long time
@Sarah Brennan I am using my VoVibarefoot shoes everyday walking mostly on concrete floors, as well as for indoor tug of war. It sounds that you are doing well. keep it up.
@@y0ungsald I wear my Vivos. They came with winter insoles, but I've never used them. I alternate them with Boulder Boots. I haven't had any issues on concrete, in fact I solved an MCL injury. I tend to do my hiking on weekends (20-25 miles a weekend in spring, summer, and fall), and I do sometimes have to stretch my feet and calves. I think it's because I'm not consistent with that kind of mileage throughout the week.
Vivobarefoot toe box is NOT super wide. They are considered medium to wide by people who review barefoot shoes. I also say this as a woman who has to wear Vivobarefoot men's shoes because the women's shoes are too narrow (and I can't wear all of the men's styles because a number of the styles have too much volume for a woman's foot).
Aesthetic is important and I like everything besides the pop up “conversation pointers” I think they should be more of your style and not so bold black and greenish blue. Other wise I’m happy to subscribe, learn, and support you.
I just started wearing Vivo Barefoot and Xero shoes. Just heard in a podcast to avoid wearing socks with them because they squeeze your toes together. I think that’s a very valid suggestion!
I used to love wide toebox shoes but they just simply aren’t as fun or accessible as other shoes so I haven’t worn one in awhile, and so far I’m seeing no issue with my joints at all (I’m 18) objectively, speaking wide, toolbox shoes are directly better than any type of Nike, but somthing about having an air pocket is really damn cool.
I’ve heard this story several years ago in running shoes… now the market has moved away to hyper cushioned shoes. So these companies Marketing is re-targeting to find a new market… Same argument :D
our feel change as we age. as we age, we lose the fat padding on the soles of our feet. I have been using sheep fleece insoles to provide naturally comfortable padding that is not overdone. old people (if you're lucky, you will be old someday!) need padding.
I have both the geo court and the primus lite. The former are stiffer and come up a bit higher on the ankle, so that's why the rubbed for me too. After a year of wear, it doesn't bother me anymore. I much prefer the primus lite, though!
Best fix for people who take to long strides ( low cadence )... Buy a weight west! It feels like someone is gently pushing you down forcing you to naturally speed up cadence. ( Because the extra force on the feet from taking hard long strides will hurt when caring more weight then the body is used to. )
I've jumped on the barefoot shoe train I got a pair of splay freestyle barefoot shoes because they were within my budget. today is my first day wearing them so far I really like them, I find them super comfortable. I think for my next pair I will end up getting some vivos
My wife got me some cheap Merrell barefoot they wasn't very nice to look at but I just wore them honestly brilliant more balance no sprains want another pair now
I have four pairs of Vivos, Addis, Primus lite III, Geocourt knit in leather and Primus Asana. The only gripe I have is they look like clown feet on me. I have good arches and a high instep so have to wear the men's not women's last and in a size 42, bigger than my feet which are normally a 6.5/7 UK 38/39. I went to the London store to try on available styles as I knew fitting would be a challenge and it only took me 45mins to get fully sorted.👍 The staff mentioned Vivo were looking into some customization offering which would be great as I occasionally drag my toe. The freedom and stability I got in the gym when I put on the Lites was astoundingly good. I'm 50s, overweight and don't run but have worn unpadded Sketchers Biker Chicks always for 8 years until threadbare as they were the only comfy shoe before. Changing gently to less of a heel strike pattern introduced when I wanted to be like Dad when aged 6. I'm still aware of the muscles in my feet awakening so am keeping my walking volume low but loving the shoes.
I love barefoot shoes. I’ve been wearing them fit a year now. I’ve transitioned all of my shoes to barefoot shoes. I made the mistake of buying a pair of adidas superstar and I absolutely hate the way they feel.
I have switched to barefoot shoes too, a few months ago. So glad I found out there are shoes like that. Other shoes are hurting more and more, because I have been walking barefoot or on socks at home for about 38 years now. I only wear shoes when I leave home, and the form of my feet doesn't fit in any normal shoes any more.
I was wearing regular shoes and barefoot shoes. I developed a really bad blister on the toe from my regular shoes and wearing the barefoot shoes healed that but it took me a month to heal.
I like wearing barefoot shoes. After a year of wearing them its a good idea to make use of motion controlled shoes because you need to take care of the calves.
Fair warning, I have been zero drop for 5 years and now any other shoes with arch/heel support feel very painful. I absolutely love the shoes you are reviewing. I struggle with finding a good light trail running shoe. These ones were perfect for running but how do we balance w tread for downhills agh. I wore them 6 months and are now coming in with a quarter size hole on the bottom. I run about 20 miles a week to give you an idea. I really liked Merrells zero drop trail gloves but they have started making them with a different arch. Nice video thanks Mike!
Another tip is if you have the opportunity to stay at home walking on your bare feet for a month without wearing shoes at all. When you finally do put on a pair of shoes they will feel like a pillow on the bottom of your feet no matter how thin the layer of material they have to protect one from harsher environments.
And hen I say a pair of shoes meaning thin layer flat natural footwear whether they are the more expensive kind as you suggested, or inexpensive shoes assuming they are again flat throughout , thinner layer than the average shoe and flexible too as not having that would defeat the purpose of healthy feet.
I have a pair or really cheap shoes that are super flexible and flat, very minimal cushion, like the ones you show here, altought they are not as wide. Love this concept of minimalist shoes, but Im scared of even looking at the price for these haha
@@martybean4049 they are just generic, fabric on top, very thin rubber sole. They appear in summer in lots of stores. Don't know that they have a name. I'm not sure they are a replacement for these,.but they are flexible, and cheap!

thanks for your video. I'm wearing earth runners since summer and I love them, I was already used tu walk barefoot a lot so it was easier . I'm searching for a pair for the winter beacause even if I love my sandals, I don't like cold;) . So in order to run I'm gonna have a pair of Fivefingers at christmas. And I really feel like wear them everyday, since they are so comfy.... I don't care about the other's gaze .But no barrier against cold. So I'm maybe gonna try the vivo!!!
I use Vivo running shoes and one orange casual ones..sizing is exact, I usually use 42,5 size 275 .. in Vivo I prefer size 43 and it's perfect. So don't really gone size smaller, that was not correct advice ... Just go there and try for yourself.
Whilst durable, build quality of Vivos is definitely questionable. I live in them day to day and use them for crossfit. Unfortunately, after about 4-6 months, the soles tend to separate near the head of the first ray
Agree with all this but why do they have to charge such a premium. I mean you just said it yourself. There’s no excess padding and foam and extra outsole and midsole. It’s just a back to basics shoe.
Can you link me to a study where barefoot shoes have been proven to reduce the risks of injuries? I am having a hard time finding any real evidence of your claims.
I was interested in buying a pair to try and shift into more zero-drop and barefoot running. Went to the website and checked them out and was ready to buy until I noticed that every size was out of stock :(
Excellent video Mike! You mentioned you didn't like the Geo Court shoes but you never mentioned the name of the ones you stuck with. I would love to know!
I was looking forward to running in barefoot shoes..... They totally broke on 3d run after 10km.. never bought any new shoes.. now 1 year later I think it's time again to try a new pair.
Just tried the app their site uses to figure out your shoe size. It is broke! It said I'm a 43 EU, which corresponds to 28.2cm. I always used 41 EU, so I measured myself my feet and got for both of them approximately 27cm, which is 41 EU. Don't trust their app, just get a paper, a pencil and a ruler and measure it yourself.
I'm not an expert at all, merely just a beginner sharing his learning in public to help inspire other people to learn about improving their health! Thanks for asking BTW. So like I'm getting info from other sources and sharing those sources in the description. For example I sourced a ton of stuff from vivo's research in this video. Or a research paper for the sauna video I did recently.
I hate shoes that rub against my ankles. I had one pair that I bled from but those were not zero shoes. I have seen that the shoes you have worn are some times not big enough so I will probably go else where for my first pair. I really like the idea and have a spine that curves to much and they wanted me to do exercises to fix this but I would not need these if I had shoes that were flat and my foot muscles worked like they were supposed to.
I have extreme plantar faciitus. Will this help me out? It kinda scares me to get these as my feet already hurt like hell when I walk. It is hard to see how it would fix my problem, but I have heard it does.
I’ve been dealing with PF for a few years pain comes and goes. I’ve been doing a lot of research and the biggest issue is the calf and not so much the foot. So working on calf stretching and exercising it properly has helped me. Good luck
I went raw I work at Amazon stand for 10 hours I’m on my second month and it feels good the only reason I can stand in them because my feet are super comfy wide row box and the benefits
Literally Im barefoot at home everyday, my sandals are 9mm. I need shoes for fall/ winter!! :( I can't wear my old shoes anymore, i got so used to being barefoot within the first few minutes my foot or knees hurt. Vans are ok, but toes are cramped. :(
Hi! Thank you for great video! Please help me out. I used cushioned shoes all my life. Currently I run with Brooks Adrenaline 21. I have office job and for work I wear casual shoes like Red Tape's most of the day. Those are not very comfortable for 10 hours a day so I'm considering buying Vivos. Is it ok for me to combine very cusioned shoes with Vivos? What should be the adjustment time and how should it look like? Any other advice? I would be very grateful.
I don’t walk around leaning forward because of raised heel. I’m so tired of the unscientific barefoot shoe sales pitch and I wear barefoot shoes exclusively inside the house.
Many barefoot shoes are so expensive, I prefer to just walk without shoes when home and in my own yard. In the summer I just wear flip flops that and super flexiable and allow my feet to do their thing.
I got a pair of old vivo+otillo swimrun shoes back when they released but it seems like they've stopped making most of their running shoe styles since then. They now only have basically one style and it's not quite as nice as some of the older styles.

So I've bought my Primus a few days ago and it hurts 😅 my feet hurt everyday now, but my knee pain from ACL tore 7 years ago is gone
Tit for tat, huh? I'm sure my feet will become stronger and the pain will go away, but I'm very careful with walking too much at the moment.
Because the magnate shoe companies who make billions of dollars off of you buying their footwear, don't want to change, and the don't want you to know. So they spend a lot of money (marketing - and other shadier things) to make sure you don't hear about alternatives.
Their shoes are made of cheap materials, which wear out quickly, which means you need to replace them often, and spend more money on their stuff. (And the cycle continues...)
seriously. it's truly sad that I'm 28 and just now being taught the things we should be taught in elementary/middle school
that foot just flies at you as soon as the video starts lol

Really good summary my friend, Thank you. At 54 and a little overweight I was concerned it would be a tough transition, but after a couple of weeks of aches and pains (because my feet were using parts unused for years) the benefits are amazing, and I actually feel really engaged with what's going on under my feet and want to walk more and on varying terrains. Doing 20k steps a day and never going back to "normal" shoes again :-)
Beast! We need more people like you. A lot of people are afraid of that initial pain period.
This is great to know. 20k steps in these and you are loving them! That's great
Nice review! Only thing I'd add is to recommend not wearing the shoes all day at the beginning but slowly progressing into full-time use. I heard that after 12-18 months you are ready to run a half marathon in them ;)
What if you need to be walking and standing all day at work? Still recommend?

Perfectly structured video. Covered every aspect I wanted to know about the subject. Especially this particular brand. Great work, Mike.
Thank you for this Mike! I have been looking for honest and clear reviews and I’m finally making my decision in purchasing the shoes despite the price. Health over Wealth
Honest and clear review .. 🤔
Good advice. Also on the walking part. Lots of videos out there about running but less about walking in minimalist shoes. Thank you
Great review.
I looked into this more and ended up buying a pair, thanks for the vid!
Really?
I got about 12-18 months before the inside crease tears in my 2 pairs of Primes (not terrible given they're so light). I found them very comfortable, but a little clammy - they're synthetic so they retain moisture/condensation. Also! Don't wash the insole, they get floppy and move around under your feet if they lose their rigidity.
Now there's an honest review 😚☺
@@itsmeGeorgina What no-one else will tell you ☺️
I've been barefoot now for a year.
Finally! I've been waiting for you to do an HONEST review!

I gave a like just for the timeline in the description.

Five finger shoes where you can see each of the toes... This is totally my description too 🤣 😂
This is such an interesting video. Never stopped to wonder about the shoes I’m wearing.
I wonder if Tarzan would react the same way dogs do when we put shoes on them.
He would. I spent some time in a very remote village where people didn't wear shoes at all. I asked them once if they like visiting the nearby city, and they said it's fun every once in a while except they can't deal with the shoes. They hate them.
@@sanomihoi8406 ah that's interesting!
It's probably how we feel in ski shoes 😅
Zaqq has nice options which look more professional 😊
How did you go working as a stylist in barefoot shoes?

Supposed comfort.
New balance makes wide shoes. Dont be a fool
Been wearing vivos for 3 years. Definitely a must.
@Alejandro Sosa Ive not found that personally. Ive seen these single toe socks. You cloud try those?
Great information! I have been wearing vivobarefoot shoes for 5 years now.
Cheers!
@@technopong That's awesome to hear bud, I have a similar story with my patella bursitis, since making the switch I have been problem free. 😊

@@ogpigeon4431 I personally find my xero shoes more comfortable than my vivos however o have heard people say the opposite. I think it primarily comes down to your foot shape. Vivo have a great returns policy so you could always try them and see if you find them more comfortable or not?! 😀
@@PeteOnPurpose thanks for the feedback
I go entirely barefoot (well, socks) at least 90% of every day.
I like how you can see Instantly HIS SHOES HAVE BEEN WORN!
I just started wearing Vivo Barefoot and Xero shoes. Just heard in a podcast to avoid wearing socks with them because they squeeze your toes together. I think that’s a very valid suggestion!
Defeats the object as well. Socks are ok to pad about in and the dri fit ones are best
Yeah.
I think for my next pair I will end up getting some vivos
after half a year of Vivo barefoot my knee problems have gone away
My wife got me some cheap Merrell barefoot they wasn't very nice to look at but I just wore them honestly brilliant more balance no sprains want another pair now
I have four pairs of Vivos, Addis, Primus lite III, Geocourt knit in leather and Primus Asana. The only gripe I have is they look like clown feet on me. I have good arches and a high instep so have to wear the men's not women's last and in a size 42, bigger than my feet which are normally a 6.5/7 UK 38/39. I went to the London store to try on available styles as I knew fitting would be a challenge and it only took me 45mins to get fully sorted.👍
The staff mentioned Vivo were looking into some customization offering which would be great as I occasionally drag my toe.
Also to say, I find them all a little too warm with the insoles in especially compared to the Skechers.
I love barefoot shoes. I’ve been wearing them fit a year now. I’ve transitioned all of my shoes to barefoot shoes. I made the mistake of buying a pair of adidas superstar and I absolutely hate the way they feel.
Haha me too, I now own 4 pairs of barefoot shoes and can't wear regular shoes. 😂
I've fully switched over as well.
Can you stand all day with them?
I was wearing regular shoes and barefoot shoes. I developed a really bad blister on the toe from my regular shoes and wearing the barefoot shoes healed that but it took me a month to heal.
I like wearing barefoot shoes. After a year of wearing them its a good idea to make use of motion controlled shoes because you need to take care of the calves.
Super interesting video!! Can’t wait to see more of what you create
Love this video! Excellent editing and great information
Great video! Been thinking about buying vivo shoes and this was super helpful.
@hollis if you’re still on the search, checkout Xero shoes trail line! They have some great ones that fit the aspects you’re looking for!
Just brought my first Vivo today. I always hated wearing shoes indoors and want to take the feeling outside without risking to injure myself.
But concrete will damage ur joints
I have a pair or really cheap shoes that are super flexible and flat, very minimal cushion, like the ones you show here, altought they are not as wide. Love this concept of minimalist shoes, but Im scared of even looking at the price for these haha
What are they called? I'm looking for a cheap replacement
Xero shoes seems to be the best priced of the minimalists. They have some sandals on clearance for $40, and you can get decent pairs at $60-$70.

On my third pair, I love them.. now my old shoe collection is gathering dust. 💪
Such nice video quality. How do you not have more subs!

Totally broke = whole sole ripped from the upper when running on steaming hot asphalt in the sun.
I usually get shoes that are too big because my feet are wide and shoes that cone your feet are too uncomfortable when using my actual size.

I’m curious. What qualifies you as an “Expert” ? Are you a Dr ? A podiatrist??

Thoughts on groundies? They're more stylish than vivo in the sense that they're more casual unlike vivo were it's all athletic
I've got groundies but not vivoactive and I am in love with them. Just bought a second pair.
I don’t think they have these type of shoes for people who where steel toe waterproof boots all day for work
😁😎
They do have steel toe shoes I don't know if they are water proof but if you look up steel toe bare foot shoes you will find lots of options
They're cheaper than new joints.
what kind of socks to wear with them?
What shoe model is the one in the video? I only see a tracker and Primus no geochord
I got a pair of old vivo+otillo swimrun shoes back when they released but it seems like they've stopped making most of their running shoe styles since then. They now only have basically one style and it's not quite as nice as some of the older styles.
