Didn't ruin my life, but close. Start of my teaching career. Class was close to their iGCSE exams, 16 yo girl (G) was openly hostile in class, disrupting other people learning. In the end, after a month of this, I snapped, and said, "If you don't want to learn, fine. Get out. Others here do. We don't have the time to f**k about anymore!'. Instant regret etched on my face. Everyone heard me swearing. She swore at me, stormed out and told me I was getting fired. Class: Thank God she's gone! Sir, we heard nothing. We got your back. Can you teach us now? Me: Absolutely! 5 minutes later, Vice Principal came in with her behind, smug look on her face. VP: Sir, everything okay in class? Me: All good! Are we good, students? Students: Yes! VP: G said you sent her out and swore at her. Me: No. I sent her out because she was disturbing the class, and she swore at me. G: You said you didn't give a s*** about me! Me: Whoa! Language! (To VP) I said we were so close to the exams, we didn't have time for G's disruptions, so I sent her out. G: No, you didn't! Me: (To Class) Class? Did I send her out? Class: Yes, sir. Me: Did I swear? Class: No. G was swearing when she stormed out after you sent her out. VP: Well, then, carry on, sir. Can G rejoin your class? Me: Only if she apologizes to the rest of the class and me for the disruption. G: I WILL NOT! Me: Then you're not welcome in this class. Now if you'll excuse us, the class have a lot to get through before the exams next month. VP, knowing how important these results reflect on the school, escorts G out. Me: Thanks, Class, for backing me up here. I know I messed up royally there. Student: That's alright, sir. She was annoying us as well. That bitch deserved it! Rest of Class (imitating me): Whoa! Then the court decided to prosecute him and despite the fact that his girlfriend defended him, the prossecuter actively forced her to tears by questioning the intelligence of her. @@TimpBizkit that’s me, but with cigarettes, they literally smell like ASS so I don’t think they’re that addicting and I’m curious about what it will feel like. Never tried them though.
@@rebeccacummings6697 I have had the occasional puff of one and you're not missing anything. They make me cough and give me a dry throat - not tickly or sore but just that unlubricated feeling. Some brands are nicer than others - some of them seem to be really acrid and others more tolerable. Although after a few drinks, they are deceptively "smooth". The same with the menthol flavoured ones. The nicotine "high" (testing e-cigarettes) is more of a talkative burst of confidence, although I'm sure chronic smokers are just spending hundreds to feel like non-smokers for a while and the removal of a negative stimulus is perceived as a positive one. I do not know how the addictive feeling is as I never got that far, but as someone who battles OCD (in my case repetitive behaviours/touching something or someone an even number of times or some illogical stuff that gets worse if I'm nervous, and an anxious and desperate feeling wells up if I am prevented from completing the pattern of behaviour. Thankfully this has tamed since childhood, though I still feel tendencies surface), external evidence (and observing behaviour of friends craving cigarettes) suggest it's a similar feeling, which is another reason for me not to start. As much as the former can get in the way of for example: sexual interaction, I'd rather not have it towards something that is slowly ruining my health. To be fair, Felix did deserve major backlash for his "joke" about "death to all Jews". I'm Jewish and no I don't think he's a Nazi but I think the Wall street Journal was right about publishing it (except for calling him a Nazi). Anti-semitism is so deeply ingrained in today's society and is labeled as "edgy jokes." I still love and watch Felix but he deserved backlash and I don't think his comments were edgy but in reality hatful, I don't think Felix hates Jews but people forget that anti-semitism is still huge and didn't just start with the Holocaust and Felix 100% deserved backlash for his comments because it plays into modern anti-semitism and he should know with how large his platform is that certain things he says will be reflected by his followers. No, you can't ultimately control what your fans do but if you example do something positive it will reflect off of you and could cause your fans to do something good, and vise versa. Him making anti-semitic comments reflects on him and the people who look up to him will think that's okay or "cool" and will copy the same behavior.
Look closer at the "balloon boy" story and it seems more like the kid was confused than it was an out-and-out hoax. The dad still seems like a bit of a prick for other reasons, but it probably didn't go down the way the first story says it did.
The Balloon Boy thing was actually not staged. It was a classic case of media spinning a story the way they wanted. Check out Internet Historian's video on this case, it's really intriguing and in depth.
@Xyre154 that is true, but for journalists a different set of standards applies. they are the ones supposed to clear up the circumstances and investigate what is correct and what is hearsay. this is what they are getting paid for (in theory). they are those who are supposed to provide the general populace which has limited to no investigative capabilities (unless they are locals and have free time) with said hindsight. at least that is the ideal because in practice the news sites will gladly lie by omission, hiding statements and evidence that could exonerate the balloon dad while pushing those that made him look guilty. the prosecutors which are rewarded for getting the guilty pleas and thus have an obvious conflict of interest just add fuel to the fire.
The thing is the who balloon boy thing, they threatened the father wife deporting his Japanese with to get a confession. they also interrogated the kids without the parents being parents, something which is literally illegal as well as denying him medical attention due to high blood pressure , something that can be fatal if not treated. The ma was actually innocent and the sheriff that ended up procescuting them was exposed for corruption. A judge later on pardoned the family, the justice system failed them and almost ripped apart their family.
Few years ago my friend told me about a conference call at his work where his CFO who was working remote thought the call had ended and said something to his wife which equated to admitting he has been defrauding the company. I don't know exactly what was said but it was a big deal and he was supposed to serve a decade sentence but ended up with time served plus 4 years parole as well as never being able to work in the finance field again. During the trial they found out he never got the college degree he claimed nor did he ever graduate college and the total he stole was just shy of 4m usd.

The first story was proven to be real, the kid thought they where talking about something they did previously (before the cameras started rolling) and as the story said, the boy was sleepy, his mind wasnt fully paying attention. The government also threatened to deport his wife if he didn't say he was guilty to the court.
The first one about Balloon Boy is wrong. It wasn't a hoax, it was proven as a huge injustice. You SHOULD feel sorry for the father because he was entirely innocent and they kept lying about his case in order to charge him and threatening to deport his wife. All of this because of what a tired child said during an interview. The boys name was Falcon and he stated he said it due to some confusion beforehand. That family deserved better.
PSA: First one was about the balloon boy incident might have been real instead of fake Internet Historian did two videos on it, 1 with his own investigation and 1 with the dad explaining the entire case
I can’t really blame that young mother running off with her boyfriend for a new life when she was still a teen. That aunt being a control freak not letting her get an abortion or put the baby up for adoption, then trying to force her into motherhood and making her a drop out. I’m glad the aunt has to take care of the baby after putting her through such trauma. On the other hand I worry for that baby. It might be better off being adopted into another family than being raised by that control bitch.

@N V M E R I V S That's a double-edged knife statement right there. Then if one of the people who burned her house got hurt or killed why doing it the same could be told to them...
Ruined life with a couple of words..... "aint no copper" More like he made a life decision, and arguable that his life was 'ruined'. And the words quoted didn't destroy him, he was just explaining his choices. Why is this in this video at all it's completely off topic.
My father did the exact opposite when I fell pregnant. He sent me to the doctor to arrange an abortion on my 19th birthday. I never have and never will celebrate my birthday on the actual day ever again.
@TheBuragi not always true. Research shows the hard truth can cripple people since it can't mess with them emotionally. It best to gauge where someone is and give advice accordingly
@TheBuragi not necessarily. If something bad just happen, there is a grieving period everyone experiences. Encouragement should be given then if it persist the truth. Truth too early can set people back. No truth at all has people live in a fantasy. Finding the sweet spot is the best
Interestingly enough, chances are that the balloon boy thing wasn’t a hoax. All they had against the family was a sentence from a sleepy 6 year old (likely about when he re-enacted what he did for another interview) and a barely understandable illegal interrogation with the mother. Also, they were threatening to deport his wife if he didn’t plead “guilty” so he did to keep his family together. I’m pretty sure one of the guys behind the suit against him did it as a political stepping stone to get himself elected to a local office, and then proceeded to abuse his power. The Internet Historian did a much better video on it, definitely worth a watch.
That Aunt deserves it. She wouldn’t even let her daughter put it up for adoption? Lol, daughter got the last laugh. Aunt wanted that baby, she’s got it! 😂😂😂😂👍
I feel sorry for the baby, though. If you're going to have a baby, it should be because you want it more than anything, not because someone forced you to. Neither of those women were prepared to love and take care of that baby. I hope he or she is loved by someone.
Literally yesterday my boss and I were having a conversation about protesting during a pandemic (we are not in America so protests are few and far away, hard to get to during lockdown without a car, I fully support the people brave enough to protest, but I myself am unable to) and another colleague caught part of the conversation but missed our argument entirely and says "yeah I just don't get it, the colour of your skin doesn't make a difference, all lives matter!" And I wanted to curl up in a ball and die
The foster mom story seems a little one-sided. You have to read those kids’ files before taking them (it has all their behavioral issues & all the ish they’ve done/abuse from others). You don’t take violent kids if you can’t handle them. Yes, the respite (temporary) family fxcked up, but she couldn’t handle that kid in the first place. Jmo
You're obviously ignorant. CPS can look for the tiniest, harmless thing to take your children away. Those who don't know their rights usually get taken advantage of.
My ex best friend(eb). We had been talking, I said something a little off like the family knew I was prone to doing, and she later told me she knew what I meant. But she still got mad at me and let her mom, up to that point my second mom, curse and swear and scream at me until I was in such a bad anxiety attack my other friend, my current best friend(cb), had to push me out the door. The exbest then said that it was the currentbest's fault, accusing cb of abusing the pets and being aggressive and rude(all absolute lies, especially since I was there) and wouldn't back down from turning the blame. She has done this a lot. eb never took responsibility and was pretty lazy and expected others to do everything for her. Her mom was an enabler, convinced her she was severely disabled to the point she never left her house, and they were both extremely toxic towards me and my boyfriend. They kept telling me he was being abusive and was cheating on me(he wasn't, they just didn't like that I spent more time with him) and they expected me to pay for food and anything else eb wanted. After I vented about this to a mutual friend asking if I was in the wrong, he told me that everyone else was only friends with her because they wanted to protect me. He told the others and just like that, eb went from having a friend group to being absolutely alone. Isolated because her only human interactions were the friends who visited her. Later on eb texted me about how horrible and spoiled Cb was and how I shouldn't be with her. She sent that message a few days after CB's mom had died from a brain tumor. I told her as much and she didn't show the least bit of remorse. I cut her off but I couldn't block her because she kept threatening to hurt herself and while it's stupid, my conscience wanted to be there for her. Her last words in person that I can remember were "you rotten selfish bitch, go fuck yourself" It sucked cause she had been a best friend for about 8 or 9 years at that point. But it was better because I later realized her and her parents were implanting false memories and making me feel a lot angrier and resentful towards my family and other friend groups. Now that I'm away from her, I'm happier, my memory is recovering, and technically, I'm recovering. Because after cutting her off, I was diagnosed with a minor case of PTSD, from her and her family. So yeah, she managed to lose her entire friend group and she never leaves her house.
Things like the first amendment are a little bit more obvious in their importance when you see a whole life ruined over yelling Monkey. Anyone who thinks that's justified is controlled by ego and needs Jesus.
Saying Monkey is not normally a problem. Saying a word known to be used as a racial slur is the problem. People should have more common decency and good sense, even if protected by the 1st Amendment.
Words can convey intent and if there is a high enough risk that someone will follow through with their intent then removing them from society in some way can make sense. For example, if I said something like "I plan to rape, torture and murder Dave Honkles and every single member of his family in the near future. Here is a detailed description of their home and lifestyles, along with a schedule for an average day that is accurate to the minute. My torturous rape dungeon can be found at this location and this vehicle is what I will use to transport them there, after I subdue them with these tranquilizers" then you might be reasonably concerned about my future actions enough to want the authorities to intervene in some way.
The one about the children "I've never gotten then back." Considering how many absolutely terrible parents get their children back very easily and there are so many programs and ways in which you can get your children back where they work with you that really tells me that she hasn't been doing any of the things that she's supposed to do to get her children back and probably shouldn't get the children back.

If it is true, I feel awful for her. The sw whom witnessed her daughters' behavior and knew beforehand of her head injury was extremely neglectful... I'd b terrified of a child that is literally trying to tear out my stitches but I can't do anything in fear of being labelled abusive :( her poor son too. She was in no state to properly care for her children of no fault of her own and no one listened...
I don’t know the details, but maybe there were other reasons she was deemed unfit for childcare.

The ballon boy one is total BS the Internet Historian made a video showing how the dad was basically framed by the sheriff department because they threatened to deport his wife and the kid who said "we did this for a show" was speaking to a reporter who didn't speak good english and said they were doing the interviews for the news not for a TV show.
Have your own opinions of a dad as a person but he really didn't want to bring bad publicity like that to his name.
Oh , I have one , so a guy In work ,we are going to call him "Bellend" gets made to teach and train some of the new apprentices in his section, ( aged between 16 and 20) and one of the lads , we are going to call "Mike" was Polish and he didn't understand Bellends instructions, which were shit to begin with - basically he just said , "you go put that thing (vaguely pointing at almost nothing) put it over there" tbh I didnt even understand what bellend was trying to do , well Mike didnt do the task , so Bellend decides to take it out on him and blame it on the fact he was Polish , well 2 weeks later Bellend gets fired. This man was on a +£50'000 a year job , just with a few words he lost it.

Language!
*Pause, then bursts of laughter from everyone! We carried on as normal after that.
I miss that class!

5:05 in the US its illegal for cops to make you sign the ticket because that signature is a waive of your right to take the ticket to trial and admittance of guilt... so therefore the arrest and subsequent dui could be removed by a competent lawyer.

"What if I like someone else" my ex decided to break up with me to be in a long distant relationship with an online friend( she didn't know how he truly behave/act). I really didn't lose much because I was putting 100% of effort into this relationship. I have realized how much of a dumb ass she was throughout the 1 year and a half relationship.(all of her friend supported our relationship and took my side more often than her in petty argument) So she ex communicated me when I found out that she was cheating on me during the relation ship. and I told her friend about her cheating without them knowing. All of her friends got super pissed and didnt want to deal with her relationship problem. She realized her friends were acting a little different. months later one of her friend came to me and said she was fucking pissed that i she single again. Now I'm just sitting back laughing.

Probably curiosity about what the high is like and realising "hey it's not THAT addictive" until it is.
@@TimpBizkit that’s me, but with cigarettes, they literally smell like ASS so I don’t think they’re that addicting and I’m curious about what it will feel like.

I like this video as it gives a comedy spin on the whole satisfaction of OCD angle ruclips.net/video/r60lVSiF1AA/видео.html

"how people ruined their lives with..." people didn't read after the first five words.

The one about survivor was brutal. Poor Zeke.

Her last words in person that I can remember were "you rotten selfish bitch, go fuck yourself"
It sucked cause she had been a best friend for about 8 or 9 years at that point.

Imagine going to jail for using words. That's some kind of authoritarianism.
