As a Blazer fan I always thought Will Barton was gonna be a really good player. His jumpshot never became very reliable but man he was fun to watch his first few years in Portland
Johnson and Justise Winslow were both highly regarded defenders coming into the league. Unfortunately, neither one of them developed offensively the way their teams hoped.
Barton was actually a good defender at times but just like every other aspect of his game, he didn't have the best basketball iq and was very inconsistent. IMO he's still good enough to still be a solid bench player in the league on a team where he can play more freely
Barton thinks he’s the first Option on every team he plays. His biggest problem is not playing within the offense and thinking he has a green light to shoot at will.

Rudy Gay lasted way longer than I expected. I don't know how he always manage to secure a contract in the last few years of his career. He wasn't bad or anything, but nothing was standing out, either. Why would so many teams want someone average, in his mid 30s, to take a spot in the roster?

He was mostly awful during time in Denver, when Jokic won second MVP, I sad he had G-league teammates, and now a lot of them are out of the league.
I don't understand how some NBA players' jumpers never improve. There is a lot of God given ability associated with jumpers but it is probably the easiest NBA skill to improve. You can't train height, and it is really hard to improve as an athlete (when already a world class athlete, which the majority of NBA players are); however, improving as a shooter is more than possible. If you get 100k shots up over a summer, I guarantee that your jumper will improve.
The NBA is more talented than its ever been so most teams dont have much roster flexibility as they like their players NBA needs to expand which would solve many problems. Seattle and Vegas should be the next bball cities

I always thought tj warren was a better player then ppl knew of him to be.He was hooping in phoenix with booker for a few years scoring 18-19 a few times before indiana.Those foot/leg injuries really destroyed his prime and career plus it don't help that he never developed a real 3pt shot which I think coulda gave him more a chance to be in the league
