Question: When is the best time to RESIGN if you are under Deped?
Once you have the DS2019, you can start the resignation process.
Make sure you plan your steps carefully so you will be able to come to the US and work in your school district on time.
Deped Resignation Process 2022:
1. These documents will be submitted to the CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION:
(4 Copies)
🔸Resignation Letter
🔸SALN (date na nakalagay ay day before resignation)
🔸Division Clearance
🔸School clearance
🔸Service record
2. Additional Requirements for J1 Teachers:
🔺 indorsement from SDS
🔺division and school clearance
🔺certificate of last payment
🔺latest pay slip
🔺cert. of no admin pending case (legal unit-RO)
3. If with existing liabilities/obligations to PLIs/GFIs (Loans):
🔹special power of attorney (both signed by the teacher and attorney-in-fact)
🔹notarized undertaking of unpaid loans indicating that the attorney-in-fact will pay the existing obligations during the teacher’s travel, enumerating the concerned PLIs/GFIs (both signed by the teacher and attorney-in-fact)
4. Separation Benefits Requirements
✔️ Letter of intent to retire (3 copies)
✔️ Declaration of pendency (3)
✔️ Filled up GSIS Application form (5)
✔️ Updated Service Record (7)
✔️ Division Clearance (3)
✔️ School District Clearance(3)
✔️ SALN as if the last day of service (4)
✔️ Latest Appointment (1)
✔️ Latest Pay Slip (1)
✔️ Certificate of Last Payment
Take note of the following:
a. You have to make sure all these requirements are completed then you can hand carry them to the Regional Office.
The region will be the one to forward it to the CENTRAL OFFICE.
Once central office receive these documents, they will send an email to the teacher. This email will be needed for CFO requirements in order to get the CFO sticker as the last requirement before you can travel to the USA.

I was on maternity leave then was thinking to resign after that but they told me I can extend my leave without pay, then now I'm resigning, they want me to pay the extension leave without pay I had. I am confuse. What is your idea in this?

I am currently teaching in public elementary for 5 years po. Nagpaplan po ako magresign this coming school Year for some reasons like focus po muna s business and toddler daughter. Possible po ba na magamit ko pa po ung teaching experience ko na 5 years if mag apply po ako abroad considering na nagstop po ako s teaching lets say 2-4 years po me magstop. Then magdecide po ulit magturo pero sa ibang bansa na po, magagamit ko pa po ba ung teaching experience ko as qualifications in teaching abroad po esp.in US. Baka po kasi May validity lang po. Hoping for response thank you po

Hi Maam Alyssa. Sa mga experiences po ninyo at ng teachers na kilala nyo, at what stage is the best time to resign?Is it once I get a job offer and a district has already hired me or only after my visa is approved? Kumbaga ano yong magandand timeline po para isingit yong resignation? Sa private po pala ako pero we have similar practice na 1 month.
Kung less risk, once may visa na. Pero alanganin kasi ang time ng deped resignation so yung iba nag tatake ng risk. Once they receive the DS2019 , they tender the 30 days notice na.

Ma'am same Tau Ng question...SA division ko Kasi Sabi nila bfore Ako resign dpat mabayaran k lahat utang ko,Hindi daw pwede SPA.

They were not required to pay it as long as you can accomplish SPA with an atty-in-fact to pay for your loans in behalf of you.
Your division will be able to provide you the template and more information.
