    pollution and sewage from TJ are big problems

    NOT high surf. About 3 feet and mushy.Surfers utilize the rip currents to get out to the waves, it's easier than paddling.

      Probably the other kind of rip that pulls you north or south really fast that makes it hard to paddle out.
