happy new year btw heres some advice: 1. on the pvkv M/43, from my experience, its better to use the APHE as your main shell as it has decent penetration and switch to the sabot when you encounter things like tiger IIs. that way you can avoid stuff like 14:22 2. in the dogfight with the IL-2, you should avoid reversing your turn and try to turn in 1 direction as you had more energy/speed than the IL-2
thanks for all the content for (most) of this year, Ive personally really enjoyed watching the trials and tribulations of a WT player starting from zero, learning the game, becoming addicted and grinding/improving their way through the trees - rather than the usual WT content creator omega giga god players farming nukes over and over. Which, dont get me wrong, I also love, but your content has been a refreshing change of pace and I feel is a lot more relatable for the vast majority of the playerbase. Also as an aside, Im happy that you've started spading everything as you go rather than just fast blasting through trees, IMO and IME thats the far more enjoyable and proper way to experience the game and its nice to see a CC making that example. 8:35 Use APHE for side-shots / front of easyily pennable targets (like the T-34-57's turret cheeks), then use HEATFS for everything else (including open tops and the front plate of that T-34-57).
3K hrs Brit main here Gaijin has nerfed APDS so much that I treat early APDS like APCR rounds. With the comet I take around equal amounts Solid Shot and APDS. The damage and the performance at angles are just more useful, especially in the comet where you should be getting flanking shots anyway. Hope to see the Channel grow, refreshing to see a relatively new player making content.
the Delat Torn is an amazing medium, but you just shouldn't rely on it's armor in any way at all.. use it to flak crouded areas and rapidly demolish entire groups of enemies. but yeah, the 5.3 lineup doesn't have any amazing carry vehicles really.
the M42 EH lowkey shoots mini nukes. But at the BR you’re playing it’s really really sufferable. Even the Küngstiger sometimes feels like it’s made out of paper but it does help. I really enjoyed using PBV the HEATFS helps a lot as the round drops really quick allows you to shoot over hills far away. My favourite tactic with sweden it’s blitzkrieg. If you peel off from the main flow of players as you go further in you can usually slip by and pop a few tanks turrets off by the time you get 1 tapped. Sweden is one of the nations that take the piss, but when the snail is being nice and giving you what seems like unlimited damage and penetration, sweden is really really fun to play.
Expert your crews (if you can)! It helps with a bunch of things including: the repair speed, turret rotation speed, and, more importantly, the reload speed!
He shouldn't be expert-ing his crews with such low tier vehicles. Only expert your crews with tanks at BR 9.0 or above, since that's when the grind starts to actually get egregious. At this point, he should keep saving up his SL.
@@Who_Knows-kp1yq Experting low-tier vehicles aren't that expensive. For rank III / IV, they're only around 50k - 100k SL. He has around 1.5million, so it's not that bad - especially if he wants to actually have fun / grind better.
If you have enough SL for it then go for it, but when I first started playing it was actually counterproductive because I didn't have enough SL to buy vehicles
Definitely recommend playing the LVKV42 as an anti-tank once you get it! Use the AP belt for better penetration (95mm of pen), and use the SAPHE belt (68mm of pen) for 38g of TNT (even more than Panzer IV's APHE round)!
@@Euroscot9155 The LVKV 42 is at an even better place because it gets APHE (instead of just AP) and an ammo box (which helps with the lack of ammo it had) at 4.3 instead of 5.0 (like where the AMX-13 DCA 40 is).
Nice shot here 2:51 and here 3:21! 10:15 Use the Shot Mk.8 for most things, as it does way more damage / spalling than Sabot, due to it being a full-calibre round and having higher projectile mass. 190mm of pen is enough for most things at its BR, and Sabot is only really helpful against the UFP of Panthers, etc...
@@rogueleader7506 You're 100% right, I completely forgot that the Comet I's gun is worse than the Challenger's / Avenger's / Firefly's (It has a different gun). 161mm of pen is alright, but it's definitely not as great (especially with the Comet's reload). I much prefer the Challenger, as it trades slightly better armour and gun depression for a better round, much better reload, better mobility, and much better turret rotation speed. Unfortunately, Sweden does not get the Challenger.
@reinyfrost3753 after playing the comet again today since its one of my favorite tanks, i found that sabot Ammo Racks tanks pretty well. I can also see the benefit of the shot mk8. However, I still gind myself needing to take multiple shots against tanks, especially german ones. I feel that lower tier, the shot mk8, however higher tier i would rock sabot as my main shell.

I used to suffer so bad in the PT76s but sticking with them I got much better, youll learn to get around the poor depression, weak armour and noisy engine, its an awesome sniper and scout. I reckon you need to do some air realistic games and grind out the BF109s or T18s for Sweden, That'll help your overall game.
PBV 501, STV 74 and Bkan 1C are all great tanks at least, i'm not too found of rank 3 sweden as well, i used mostly the pt-76 there, being able to pen anything at that br plus the stabilizer are pretty nice
I'm was a Sweden main for 18 months. All TT unlocked and spaded (except the new squadron BMP-2MD), expert crews including 3 level 150, most camos unlocked on all vehicles. 5.0-6.3 are horrible and I never play them now. 7.7 is also a bit of struggle. 8.3-8.7 is when the fun begins. The helis are decent I have the AHS and Mi-28A, and for CAS the SAAB 105G is so good with CCIP bombing indicator but their Rank VI planes blow. BTW, the 4.3 plane A21A-3 has CCRP and can accurately drop from long distance I think it's the only one at such low BR.
Current Swedish main here: It took me about 8 months to get to top tier from scratch, and several months to spade my top tier lineup, albeit with previous experience from Germany, USA, USSR and Britain Sweden is ROUGH and not a good starter nation, nothing has armor until 7.7 and the guns can be lacking at best, your saving grace is the Finnish sub tree (I demand the Patria and Sturmi gaijin) My best tips for other's grinding Sweden mid tier is to stick to the 5.0-5.3 lineup, 5.7 is constant uptiers and you have no match against the King Tiger/Jagdtiger 6.7 lineup can be good but relies heavily on flanking and smart play. Best Swedish lineups in my opinion/experience: 2.7, 3.0, Formerly 3.7(not since the Finnish T-34 was moved to 4.0), 5.0-5.3 (5.0 is better though), 5.7 is playable but very rough given your best tank is a T-34-85, 6.7 , 7.7 was good until the Ikv 91 was moved to 8.0, leaving a lackluster Centurion and nerfed VEAK to fight off hoards of T55's, 8.0 (Strv 103 is glorious albeit hard to master), 8.7 (my favorite lineup), 9.3 as of recent has become playable and pretty fun, 10.7 (T80 and T72 spam is a pain but you can manage with skill), 12.0 can actually compete with Russian top tier armor. Tanks to aim for in my opinion: Vast majority of Finnish vehicles are very useful Strv m/41, Strv m/42, Strv m/42 EH, Sav m/43 (1946), Swedish mad max truck, L62 ANTI 2, Spj fm 43-44, Strv m/42 DT, Lvkv 42(I affectionately call it the baby CV90), Pvkv m/43, Bkan, Strv 101, USH-405, Strv103, Strv 104, T55M, CV90 variants, 40mm's are best, Strv 121 gets stock APFSDS, All of Sweden top tier is good Stay way from: Pbv 301 PT-76 IKV 103 T-28
Trying to use APDS less than other shells like solid shot APCBC or APHE will help with killing more of the enemy's crew after you penetrate successfully, but if you have a problem with penetrating initially then it's better to go for the higher penetrating potential. Just be careful of angled armor with APDS because it's not as amazing
I used to stream pretty regularly and invite viewers in to play so I’ve done it before! I just wasn’t really enjoying streaming so I’m not doing it at the moment
trying to grind planes via ground rb is very unreliable. I suggest doing some air mode like rb, ab, or the defensive thingy also you can look up guides for basic maneuvers and such to increase your plane's performance and survivability
I need to try it again with APCBC instead of APDS as my main shell. I’ve seen a lot of comments saying that more pen is worthless when the post pen damage is so bad. APDS is only good for frontally penning a small number of tanks
You need to keep your air speed up. That FW 190 was going to get you no matter what, because you were too slow to move out of their sights. The FW is not a good turn fighter.
If your really not liking the pt-76 I would recommend replacing it with the Ikv 103 it also has an HEATFS round but with double the penetration my only big problem with it is that it has no turret
I tried the comet for brit thinking it was going to be like the Cromwell or like another Brit tank. and it was worse than i thought it was and not going to touch the swede version. nope.
I absolutely hate pt-76b heatfs shell, if you can, just treat it as a mobile scouting platform as first vehicle at the start of the match and only use the gun whenever its needed or you can get a free kill/help out your team, the shell itself is extremely unreliable, if you aren't sure, just try to shoot the barrel of whatever you are facing. I absolutely feel you man, its a heatfs shell but it actually isnt, it acts like a low pen and even smaller cone of shrapnel solid shot, it feels like you are bringing a snub noaed revolver while other guys have fully modified glocks, deagles, sig sauers and stuff. At that point i just quit it and play some 5.7 germany, do some point and click adventures, lolpen everything from center mass/turret to relax a bit, the game feels like a bliss in mid tier german vehicles, before king tigers.
It was amazing when it first came out but all the Russian mains complained it could pen their T-54 ufp. Like every ammotype that’s not APHE, it got nerfed into oblivion.
The strv m42 DT is pretty mean, def my fav at the br, also the a21a-3 i believe is a like 4.0 swedish air with a ballistic computer if u wanna make a video about that

Completely agree, I expert crews on everything, including planes.

the manlet armour isn't reliable to shoot at when aiming at an M-51 since it is the most well-armoured

I really enjoyed grinding sweden started with them this year and got to 10.7 last month but yeah rank 3 was tough
