label is not misleading at all, it is distilled in Indiana more than likely at MGP. and stored at Americus Ga. or somewhere in that area. never the less its good liquor....
It is good. But it doesn’t say any of that on this label. It’s only says Produced and Bottled in Americus Georgia. Because this is there old 2023 label. On their new standard bourbon label it mentions Distilled in IN.
@@rayfisher5407 yeah that’s why I was a bit disappointed. They fixed in in there new regular stuff and not in the Double oak. I was also a bit hungover and a bit bitchy that day 😃. The main thing is it’s great stuff
@HOUSEBOURBON I do agree it is disappointing that they cannot make their own hooch, that's how it started out to begin with. Now pay a company to do all the work for ya while you sit and wait on maturity date.So to all that frown on MGP they must make really good hooch at affordable prices and allow the so called distiller take credit for their work.something just ain't right about it...
I have a video somewhere where we but the DO B2 up against the 15th and I prefer the DO. This DO B3 doesn’t have the sweetness to contain all that oak. So it’s very dry and bitter. The more I think about it the more of a miss I think it is.
I have both, the 15h anniversary and this year Double oak and to me this DO is sweet and the wood flavor is incredible and it has some of the profile of the 15th anniversary, being the 15 more fruit forward and stronger, but with less wood profile. I am glad they are different.
@@prtube1 yes, I find the 15th brighter and fruitier. But only in comparison to the Double Oak. The double oak Batch 2 I find to be much sweeter and viscous than batch 3. But they are both so oaky and really special.
@@HOUSEBOURBON I agree I was lucky enough to get last years bottle also it was the only bottle my liquor store had. This year they had 6 bottles sitting on the shelf. I grabbed a backup as well, but left some for the others :)
They had marked it up $100 total was $317 after tax which is on the upper end of my budget, but between this and the coy hill I’ll be a happy camper for awhile
Sounds like overall 2023 LE's are better than the LE's of 2024. Maybe you can do a video on that. If anyone has the inventory to do it,it's you, Dave. You're right. No one is gonna care that the juice is MGP. Cheers
That’s an interesting thought experiment. 13th C was better last year. 4 Roses too. But that was their 135th anniversary. I would say Parker’s was better last year. But I think I will be in the minority. As I don’t really like malt whiskeys. But RR15 is much better than last years RR13, Coy hill is way better than last years Twice barreled. And that Old Fitz VVS is better than any Old Fitz ever. Maybe I’ll try and get a full list and make a video. Good idea

how is it compared to their 15th anniversary bourbon?

Nice! I’d like to hear what you think doing a side by side B3 v B2
That’s not a bad price at all. 1/2 of secondary right now

I need to drive south I guess to hunt this😅
If you do. You’ll probably run into Darryl. Cause he sure is 😃 🏃🏻💨
Lied to your face, man! I’ll drink to that lol 🥃
😃👊🏻 it feels like when you do a small lie and then you have to keep covering for that small lie with bigger ones..
@@HOUSEBOURBON It’s weird because it’s nothing to be embarrassed by but not being upfront makes me not trust the brand as much.
You are right across the street from my parents house
Remus is a great bourbon it’s an MGP
I don't think they care about a top 10 you love it and people still buying it
No, it’s just about transparency.
@@HOUSEBOURBON I %100 agree but when something is so good no one cares!!!!
