You hit on the reasons why I love your videos: they are comforting, reassuring, and feel personal even though I'm a complete stranger to you. I think that if you were a person I knew in real life that it's very likely there would be some degree of friendship, since we have a mutual disdain for cigarettes, a shared interest in "the occult" and other things. But mostly, you seem like other people I call friends, caring and straightforward, blunt but not cruel. And a bit irreverent. And because your videos take on a more "realistic" approach rather than the more direct hit-all-triggers approach, they feel more natural. Of course, I do watch those other sort of videos, where it's just about certain scratching sounds, whispers, or what have you. But the more "sensual" ones make be a bit uncomfortable if only because I know there are a number of creeps watching them... Anyway, keep being you. Thank you for your talents, Ally. You have an ability that many aim to achieve and seldom do. It hit a very personal note for me when you spoke about your difficulty during your hospital stay. I am a social recluse as well. I spend so much energy during the day just getting through it with so many people around. One of the worst things for me is making eye contact. My family never understood what I meant as a kid when I said that the eyes are noisy. Their is too much pain of heart in eyes today. Very few people have eyes that betray a spirit of true joy. I get so drained each day. If I can find a place of solitude that allows my own spirit to breathe I can be rejuvenated for the cycle again the next day. Your creativity helps. It is so difficult sometimes. I have turned down SO many social invitations because of the need to recover/recharge. It is bittersweet to know I am not alone in needing to be alone. While I appreciate I am not the only one experiencing it, I regret that others struggle to endure the same difficulty.
