    Perhaps one day the pilot station might show us around a boat and maybe take you out to a ship with the pilot aboard.
    BTW have got fond memories of the bridge in the background which leads to Swan Island and the tough golf course (when the winds blowing). There was also a government spy training centre on the island (don't know if its still there).

      @davidholder3207 Swan Island is both still a golf course and a Army base and Vic Pol boat squad base.

    They look small in the ocean. They are private companies. The Government thought it would be cheaper this way. Thanks Daff

      The pilotage of Port Phillip has always been run by private hands. Never has been a government department operation.
