for anyone wondering what attack he uses, while dashing on Embermane, it's light So you basically dash towards him and tap/spam light attack. Easy interruption, I'm glad I watched this vid and learned these tricks
Very cool and useful info! I never thought about using the invincibility at the end of the dash for a safe hit, can't wait to get up there and test this out. Definitely looking forward to your updated video on how to use the chain blades.
All the chainbalde Mains in the comments.... i finally got home lol Also another useful advice for pangar is that you can use your special + light attack without getting away from pangar ... when he starts to Roll just press q and then use the light attack to boop it easily.... that way you dont lose to much time by dodging away and back to it again i feel like that way its easier and even more stylish
On the topic of Weighted Strikes +6, the only real use I can see for it currently is to provide an additional means of interrupting behemoths with the Ostian Repeaters. Currently, the repeaters are too dependant on either the Saboteur Grip (the one with the deployable landmine), and the use of concussion grenades (limited to three per hunt, per slayer).
When you use Reaper's dance special with Chain Blades, you can get "Reaper Stacks" if you use the special to get close to the behemoth or use it to jump away and use a light attack follow-up (described in game as well). When ever you do this, notice under your HP bar, a chain blade icon with the number of times you have done so will increase in number as you do it, with a timer like figure rotating inside to signify when the stacks will expire. If you have multiple effects on your character and too many such icons are there under your HP bar, the more stacks you gain, the more its number gains (limited to 10), so you know which one to look at. And as limit is 10, the best way to maximize damage using reaper's dance secondary follow-up is with 10 stacks, though it might take a while to get to it and is not a good idea to use it as a damage output when CBs have other options. Hope this cleared up :P
@@Sunray005 I have noticed the different icons, just wasn't sure if the stacks show up the same way. I guess I should look up what the icon looks like. I've just been kind of guessing what each icon represents by how they look like. Thanks for the information!
Great guide, Revvy! One thing to add and clarify: threshold interrupts can only be triggered by damage that would normally tap interrupt. That means that using Swinging Blades or Blade Spin will not actually help you reach your damage threshold number (or rather, only the initial melee attacks and the cross finisher will), unless of course you're running Weighted Strikes +6. It also makes threshold opportunities one of the only good excuses for just spamming your melee attacks with chain blades.
Thanks. Me as a newb has still more questions than answers but you explained it so well :) I'm curious about one last thing though. I saw builds with the gelluon weapon and just wonder if people swap then or commit to the fight nonetheless
Came back after the update, before I used to dodge light and booped without trading, just came back and now I'm the doing the exact same thing but I trade every, freaking, time, making the interrupt irrelevant, did this get nerfed? Where I frames cut? What's going on???
Can u do a updated tutorial with the patch 1.3.0? because i want to dodge and hit for booping but... is not work anymore, the behemont hits me anyway with the actual patch ;_;
Hey buddy I love all your videos and videos with ohdough. My buddy and I do a lot of hunts using your double team tactics. With you guys leading the way with content, my team was able to finish heroic plus patrols between three to five min each. We only started playing this Aetherpunk season and we both got many level 15 weapons and all our cells are plus 3. We both sport the Aetherpunk title too 🤷🏻. Thank you for the content and please keep coming up with new content.
Hi, I was using the first method (dodge+hit) but since today with the new patch I cant avoid the damage :/ I actually can interrupt but the embermane or the shrike "interrumpts" me as well haha
Can you be more specific on the controls part? Like do you dash while clicking the left click light attack or after? Sorry I'm new at this and I haven't found a single video that explained the controls. It's always already the game terms
Thanks for the helpful insight. Really need to work on koshai interrupts, hope you're doing well! (got a goofy Bigfoot emote you can use while waking called sasquatchin in fortnite with your code the other day, do you think we'll see more traversal emotes in dauntless?)
Cheers, Wallace. Im doing well. Trying to up my grind a little bit on the content creation front...just keeping busy. Thanks for supporting me with the code :D
Revy I need help, I consider myself an advanced or experienced Dauntless player but ever since they changed Shrowd’s tail hitbox, I find tail breaks are impossible. I am primarily a Strikers, Sword and Repeaters (especially Twin Suns) player, but I’ve tried everything to break Shorwd’s tail, whether I be in group and ask slayers to assist, or by myself. One of two things occur, i either break both legs and cannot get his tail or I kill it too quickly for tail break. The thing is the hitbox is very inconsistent. At the beginning of the hunt or sometimes randomly during the hunt, the hitbox works fine, but 90% of time the Hitbox shrinks to just the tiny upper part of tail near its rear. It’s so annoying as I mainly use strikers and try to use Titan Clash to hit it, but as I said it’s inconsistent. I even use the sword glitch to get it, but only broke his legs before it’s dead. I need to know what to do, I’m very new in trying to play Axes and hammers properly, and I suck with the Pike. Can you help by asking Dauntless if the Shorwd hitbox is glitched?
What about Moonreaver Shrike? I can boop every monster no problem but for Shrike the only way I've been able to reach his soaring attack is by using the concussion grenades.
Hi, a bit late and started to really play only a week ago but have mostly used chainblades (switch to repeaters for Escalation 10 - 50 for a more support role since I'm still not good at timing some dodges), and from what I know: dash square is the normal boop where you'll still take damage now due to a patch, and dash triangle won't inturrupt unless weighted strikes +6 is used. You could use just triangle as well with WS+6 if you're closer already.
Is he using light attacks to interrupt? I'm trying so hard to boop these goddamn sporestruck embermanes but I've only managed to do it 3 out of the required 5 times...and all 3 times were accidents. I'm lvl 20 CBs and have maxed out terra esc. Help lol.
great, now every time rift comes out of a portal im just gonna hear "Its rewind time".
That's hot!

this comment was more informative then this dudes entire video
That's exactly what I was looking for today! Thank you a lot!
Wait so I don’t actually need weighted strikes to Boop behemoths

I have hit a bore out on playing Dauntless, but this very well produced video was a very nice watch!
This did help a lot but a little confusing for beginners it took me a minute to understand everything but overall very helpful

I can't believe how many of these I didn't realise!!! Awesome video
Wevvy always got what you need. Well done good sir😃
thank you akda TwT
Do you only have to click dodge and not click anything else?
Thanks!! I've been practicing on interrupts myself.
Great video. Just started to play the game. A lot of my friends tell me it's a bad weapon. Thank you for the awesome help!
Cant wait for a striker of this!
I can’t wait for the tutorials and I like watching dauntless in general
I always read and hear about monitoring stacks. How does "stacks" look like?
Never thought to dash back then forward to gain distance. Great advice.

Same here! its really weird. Embermane, shrike, Pangar... can't interrupt without taking damage, and i used to do this without getting hit.
I'm pretty sure this was in the recent patch notes - they took the s out because it was too easy for Chain Blade to interrupt.
Do chainblades still Interrupt without weighted strikes??
yes it still does i tried it on shrike
Any tips to avoid trading while interrupting with the dash light attack combo?

Do you just dash (press circle against behomoth)or do you dash and press triangle.
Im talking about a ps4 perspective

You can interrupt with light attacks, yep. Sporestruck embermane is a nightmare to interrupt. But any light attack on cb can interrupt
Can we interrupt using heavy attack on chain blade?
Only with weighted strikes +6
I have used weighted strikes 6 since June and I’m never taking it off
I cant do the dodge interrupt no matter how much i try..
Wait, you can interrupt with them? I thought you weren’t able too!
