Hi Alex, Your videos are really fantastic and I subscribed a couple of weeks back. I will be travelling to Mexico City for Canje end-April, 2023. Just heard that Mexico City and 4 other airports do not require FMM any more. Wondering if and how that may affect the Canje process at the INM in MEX. Any thoughts?
Happy Holidays, I want to drive down to Detroit Consulado. 12 hours south of where I live, northern MI. So, I want to have all papers correct. I want to get correct : State Apostille for Detroit, Wayne County Birth Certificate. I have, will send to Lansing. ***Question: Social Sec. Payment/Statement: need to be apostilled or statement and bank statement adequite? And *** Bank Statement, Notarized at bank , correct ? ((I cant get thru on phone and website is difficult to find info on. I'm going to drive down, its FAR !!!!! and get there at 8am, when open. Wait to get in. You know Detroit office. What do you think ? thanks so much. Hope your new home is settling in and working out. Look forward to your videos. )) **PS) getting rid of'stuff' to move. hard! I'm applying for VISA, Jubilada Temporary Residency Visa. I'll drive down with my two portuguese water dogs.:-)
Hi Alex, do you know if there still is an INM office in LA Paz where a person can get their Temporary Residency card ? I'm seeing online that the La Paz INM is no longer open. Thanks LC
Great informative video. Question about address change notification…. I’m coming to Mazatlan for a month where I will complete the 2nd part of my temp residency. I will have to put the address of my Airbnb. I will return to the US for a month or more before coming back and perhaps only staying for another month or 2, and maybe not in one place. Do I have to notify IMN of an address change if it is to another temporary location? Or can I wait until I rent more long term later in the year?
Hello Alex, I have my permanent residency appointment next week here in GDL. Do you know if they give the p.r. card the same day? Just curious because I have heard they can however take a couple days to weeks.
If you're married to a Mexican national, you can skip the consulate step and apply directly at an INM office in Mexico. You will need your marriage certificate with an apostille if you were married outside of Mexico. Your husband will also need to be present with his credentials.

I recommend waiting until you know you plan to spend at least six months somewhere.

Gracias por ver, Benito!
Alex, if i'm single and i'm traveling alone to México, do You know if I may be asked to presente an apostilled birth certificates? Gracias 🙏
No, not if you're just traveling! The only time I needed my birth certificate since moving to Mexico was when I applied for a marriage certificate.
@@alex-wittman thank You!
Does my husband need to be present at the consult appointment ? And what Documents do we need.
