Well... I call it that because, aside from some stuff near the end, it plays the general themes of most Super Robot shows fairly straight. Following a formula, if you will. Justice always prevails in the end, there's several cool upgrades to the main mecha over the show's course, it has the moody or arrogant rival archetype... concepts that had been done before at the time, and didn't feel quite as overused then as they've become. Well, at least to me, that is.
Adding to this discussion is that this super robot anime was the only one that actually broke the fourth wall thanks to Black Noir. He said that it was like he was just playing an old school game that he understood everything from the start and acted like it.
my fav part is that the instrumental version of this was used for kaiser's theme, then gaine comes back and they start combining and suddenly it's GREAT DASH
I payed the extra cash for the Premium Song version of SRW V so I could hear the vocal songs played. Then I set this song to my battalion theme so it played whenever my forces arrived on the field. Choosing mechs to launch from your roster has never sounded so epic.

I'm facepalming at why they couldn't just keep a singular fucking robot- but this works. This evolution is fine with me, I get it if it's for the toys.
Why hasn't this series been in SRW yet? I mean, it WOULD be pretty awesome, and I'd like to see how Banpresto handles this song as an instrumental track. ^_^
BlueJavelin Not a lot of the Brave (Yuusha) series have been adapted into SRW yet, except GaoGaiGar. Hopefully though that would be rectified in later games. If a DS title can have the Eldran robots (which are more or less now a part of Yuusha) then I can't see why Bandai-Namco (Banpresto's owner) couldn't negotiate with Takara-Tomy to include the rest of those guys. It's probably because most of them have A.I. and SRW focused on human piloted mecha then A.I., mind you Might Gaine could pass for one as Maito technically pilots Might Gaine and later Might Kaizer/Great Might Gaine.
I wish this was the 2nd opening's theme because its so good. I love it more than the opening itself.
Might Gaine is one of the most unabashedly formulaic Super Robots ever.
AND I BLOODY LOVE IT FOR THAT
Kebnekaiser What do you mean formulaic?

Well, it was right about when said plot points were cemented into the genre. It's also Japanese 90's so...

***** No relevance to what we were talking about.
***** Instead of providing a link, you could have just said that Might Gaine will be in the next game, instead of being so vague about it.,
+David315842 he said the Series (referring to Might Gaine) is gonna be in the game. What's so vague about that?
Laz Angriff The Series could have meant Brave in general? Think about it.
PLS!! MAKE 1/144 SCALE PLAMODEL with complete articulation & combination T^T
Oh, please in the Super Minipla line, even vanilla Might Gaine is okay for me!
