I will instantly click any album about murderous fantasy creatures, and I'm glad I did lol! This actually really gives me World of Darkness vibes, like the same universe as Vampire the Masquerade, I can imagine putting this on in the background of a Changeling the Dreaming game, as the party gets ready to murder a bunch of people for fucking with them.
Pretty sure youtube recommended this to me because i like the stoner rock band, Gnome. Completely different vibe, but I like this as well. Gonna have to dive deeper into gnome music, whatever that may be.

Simply stellar this one! Dripping with atmos, super sounds, synth wit that edge of chiptune occasionally to keep it gorgeously retro, but then creepy and nightmarishly 80's....
@@bloodybladenum1920 Varg Vikernes. Specifically the albums he made with a synthesizer they gave him while he was in prison. It's literal dungeon synth lol. Couldn't be a more perfect name for the genre.

To be fair, this is also around the time Varg wrote his best synth work IMO (Han Som Reiste), but this all predates the prison albums by several years. Wongraven is active from '94 as well. Sound-wise too, I think the more layered and evocative soundscapes of Mortiis' era 1 records has a much larger impact on the sound of modern dungeon synth than the sparse, minimalist midi sound of Varg's prison albums (and his embarrasing post-prison albums don't sound like dungeon synth either). I don't mean to nitpick, and Daudi Baldrs is a bop, just don't want that nazi loser to get undue credit when the genre was pionered by several people, including a literal goblin.

I know a gnome is a little guy but KILLER GNOME [FULL ALBUM] being 18 minutes long has me in stitches. Are you sure this isn't an EP as in "Exemplary Production"? Givin' some gnome love. Tough love, but love jts.
Two things. First they making it out of da woods with this one 🔥 Second love the Red Cap for the cover. I feel Red Caps dont get enough representation as a Fey that will just straight murder you.
Interesting mix of styles. I'm usually not a very big fan of dungeon synth, but this is fun. Might also be one of the better synthwave-ish albums I've heard simply due to the variety of rhythms and sounds.
This one is really good. I used to listen such kind of music before, but it was too "heavy" (or even "doomy"). This one is "light" enough which makes it good for prolonged background listening during job tasks.

For some reason it reminds me of the beats of tracks used in ol' Xcom modpacked with XpirateZ. Very groovy. Put on my fur-trimmed hat (sadly, the pointy one is still at the maker!) and going for a second loop. Anger not the fellow who values peaceful existence above all for past a point, he shall defend it like a cornered beast, and the hunter shall become the hunted.
Okay, the oppressive atmosphere of this is really something. The melancholic segments especially around 13:40 really give off a dark forest, tall grass, eternal twilight kinda vibe. The gnome feels like a present and imminent threat, but in the kind of way where you are powerless to stop him if he finds you. The gnome feels like a fact of life, a force of nature, an unstoppable force. Where when he finds you, you do not feel fear, but acceptance, as your fate is already sealed.
The cover goes so hard, I just hope it gets released as a shirt some day. Never taking Chompski with me and the boys again, that thing can stay in that carnival for all I care.
Me a killer-gnome with other killer-gnomes pondering our plans to wipe the existence of Goblins from our forests and this is our back-ground soundtrack so the forest knows with what they are dealing. Our whimsical power and knowledge will be vile
I have to agree, these are some pretty wild beats! First thing I thought of was that it sounds like it could be a soundtrack to an oldschool video game. Hexen: Beyond Heretic came to mind almost immediately. I dig it! I just wonder who commands them. Where they came from. And how they sprang to life in the first place...
