Seeing y'all change the oil and diff fluids makes me think about needing to change mine Especially the diff fluids I've never changed it I was once and I almost rounded out the drain plug because it was in so tight that I didn't finish it and left it alone I figured it was better off than if I messed it up plus I've got insurance on it to protect it from my dumb mistakes I do.
Dang, sucks you couldn't get the plug out... This was the first service on the XX.. After that I think every other year on Diff fluid is probably good depending on how often you ride.. pistNbroke said he does his every 500 miles..
Dirt ObseXXion my old 06 Rhino has around 5500 miles on it and probably 3500 of it is with a 6" lift and it never got changed not because I couldn't but because I just didn't, mainly because I never shut it down long enough to do it.
@@stacyreid5077 Right on! I guess it's just precautionary.. I probably won't do mine on the Sportsman until next year.. The only problem with not doing it is that itll run fine dry until the diff is destroyed... Changing the fluid is mainly about the peace of mind in knowing that it's good, since there is no way to check it...
Just an FYI it’s always best to remove a fill plug first....just in case! Because if you drain the fluid first then for some reason if you can’t get the fill plug removed or you accidentally strip it out or whatever scenario you can think of your screwed in the pooch! But anyway! I love your wildcat xx vids...I just purchased a new wildcat xx 2018! Thx!!
When ever I change diff oils and engine oils is has a milky color to it, that. Normal 🤷♂️ Rear diff looks nice to do with the frame off, just like the OG Wildcats they dont give much room to do anything while covered either. I like to do the diffs every 500 miles depending on riding conditions
Hey bro!!! 500 miles is probably a good idea.. I thought the XX was supposed to be super easy to do maintenance on but removing pieces of frame to do diff fluid doesn't mean easy to me.. It's not bad or anything bit it isn't an easy one man job.. It seems like a lot of digging...
Good vid guys!!! Our machines will take care of us if we take care of them!
Thanks brother!
Lol usually im late to the vid! Great video man! When or if we get an xx ill be sure to watch this again!!
Thanks B!!!

Do you still own that Wildcat? Has it been a good machine. I have a 2020 Tracker XTR1000
No, and no it definitely wasn't a good machine.. Lots of failures and blown motor at about 300 miles
Keep the vids coming!!
Official manual states 2.70 qts.
Are you gonna be up all night doing this? Lol yeah probably. Great video. I would love to have one of those Wildcats
Thanks Carol.. I'm an ATV guy so I'd say stick with that O.G. Cat you got! 😁😁😁
