The crystal glasses clinked against fine china as Sarah Thompson, my sister, hosted another one of her "elite" family dinners. I sat quietly at the far end of the table, watching my brother-in-law Marcus-the self-proclaimed business genius-hold court with his usual audience of admirers. At 42, he wore his CEO status like a crown, each word dripping with the kind of confidence that only came from never having faced real failure.
"And that's how I closed the Anderson merger," he concluded, basking in the appreciative murmurs from our gathered family. "Biggest deal of the quarter. Some people just understand business at a different level." His eyes flickered to me, lips curling into what my sister probably thought was a charming smile.
I took another sip of wine, already knowing what was coming.

Very , very good , the proofreading has improved greatly. Nice story , but , can you at least change the names of the people in your stories sometimes ? It'd help to do a little bit of variety.
