Not to be a nit picker or a know it all..but one of the worst things you can do is take shelter under a bridge or underpass!! Glad he and all of them made it through this rough weather!!
That's a fact. It create a tunneling effects and is MORE DANGEROUS. It also blocks the road & no one can get through. Never stop under a bridge/overpass. Go to a store, gas station, or a business
I think it’s because in the movie twister that’s what is done and they survive.
And constantly repeat yourself saying it's crazy. Or maybe cutting your video short and ruining the picture quality on the last video. But making money on other people's videos isn't dumb

That said, as soon as I saw the number one video graphic, I said "Hey Clem" audibly and laughed a little when it started the video.
Not a knock on your list at all, to this day that is pretty much still the most terrifying amateur tornado footage I've seen and deserving of that spot. I'm just impressed with the rest of the list and thanks!

My sister lost her home in Joplin tornado. She lived blocks from St. John’s hospital that was hit and moved 2”. My mom lost most of her neighbors, she had little damage which was amazing. She lived near the High School.
The #1 video has become something of legend. There's never been anything like it, and hopefully there never will be again. It's the stuff of terrors. Just one of the scariest things that could ever happen to you in nature.

Did anyone else notice how many of these videos originated from the 2011 tornado season? Truly an epic season as far as damage/tornado deaths/extreme weather all around… I just hope we aren't caught unprepared for the inevitable tornado season which tops this one due to climate change making every extreme weather phenomenon more and more frequent.

Tells you something when half the list is in Alabama on April 27. I lived in Birmingham at that time and the tornado that went through Tuscaloosa and then Fultondale was coming straight for my house but veered north. I got very lucky. I had a friend who lived near Huntsville who wasn't so lucky and he lost his life. That was a scary day. Now I live in northwestern PA so the worst I have to deal with is a thunderstorm or a blizzard.

Number 1 was cut short. It was so heartbreaking for the man who recorded it because he lost his wife in that storm! I heard she told him to stop recording and seek shelter, which he did at the last second, but he ended up hurt and she didn't make it.
I saw the # 1 video a while back. It was heartbreaking finding out his wife died in that tornado. I don't understand why he would record it and not be with his wife, trying to find a safer place ?
afaik, she was downstairs in the kitchen, clem was upstairs filming. they thought it was going to miss them. he went upstairs to get flashlights i think. where both of them were, when the chimney came down it crushed them both, his wife more so because she was downstairs.

14:28 This guy would've been a Darwin Award recipient had that tornado tracked a mere tick closer to him than it actually did. Truly comes across like he lacks any sensibility at all and acts as if he's in a strong thunderstorm as opposed to staring down the barrel of a violent tornado...

#5 WHY is he just sitting & waiting, its coming. so hard to watch,. plus backing up while watching it isnt what I would do. Id make a quik 3 point turnaround,maybe even 2 ,.,,,,,, then see if its still getting closer, if it is ....... Floor it. tornados usually dont travel at 80 mph. seems a much better option than waiting for it.
Idk whats more creepy... The Joplin Tornado above you or those persons calling jesus jesus in those Situations. Since im not a believer this seems so strange to me. Im glad that they find strengh by saying that for themselfs because I couldnt
I promise you it'd be different if you were in their shoes. You have never seen a person find their "spirituality" faster than when they are a couple of seconds from death. Your whole life will be laid out in front of you and you'll think "All of that for... this? Really?". It's amazing how imminent death can almost instantaneously change a person's perspective, but it does.
