It’s interesting how this project came out while Fleshwater was first being written (yes, the band dates back to 2016, it’s been kept in the vault for years). Makes sense when you consider the obvious song title, flesh & water, as well as the fact that Woohoo reuses the UNDR_NTH melody. Fleshwater is damn near a decade old but their discography only dates back 3 years. Insane commitment.
Their commitment is pretty crazy. They tour like machines lol but I’m not too sure Marisa was around at this time or even in 2017-2018 to actually start Fleshwater, it was basically just Anthony and the other members of Vein as far as I’m aware. I know they’ve been together for 4 years so maybe it’s possible they were talking earlier than 2019 but it also doesn’t make sense because she’s been singing since she was young and we didn’t see any collaborations til the 2020 demo. (also noticed the title tracks in here like you mentioned flesh & water as well as welcome home which is the name of the opener on veins latest album).
What’s insane to me is seeing how Anthony’s ideas have evolved over time to become what they are today, they are some of the most talented musicians I have ever seen
I think what you’re talking about is the playback speed. When I was recording the tape for some reason it came back sped up. So I had to adjust it a bit to match the one on bandcamp
