Don't worry Terrie, Older or Younger we all want the same things for the most part. Youth is just a mentality. Some of the youngest people I know are in their 60's, and some of the oldest are in their 30's. It all depends are where you are in your head. Just be kind to someone today, and you'll find what you're looking for. I don't know how long ago your first birthday was, but if you've heard of her, Aubrey Hepburn is a good example of that attitude, at least for me. So is Julie Andrews. They were/are both such sweet women, and kind to everyone they meet. Jacob Collier, Keanu Reaves, and Elvis are guys that share that quality, in my eyes. Be nice to someone today, and maybe pick up a Bible if you have some extra time, and you'll find what you're looking for.
Its been a few years since i started avoiding my feelings, I avoided love and all those sweet stuff. I always kept telling myself i didn't need it, I can still live without it. I confessed to someone in 8th grade but she used it to blackmail me and even tease me with others. I felt really betrayed that time.I was frustrated by myself because of how i let my feelings get the better of me, Since then i sealed all those things away, I isolated myself from others and didn't participate in anything at all. But looking back at it now i realized that all those years of avoiding these things have taken away a big piece of me, The piece to feel affection towards others,The piece to connect with others. Since then till now(Last senior year of HS)i haven't made any connection towards any girl. I kept asking myself "what now?","how do i start feeling again. Every now and then i see romantic stuff in the net(mostly in movies and anime)
I thought of how these characters have a foundation to support their relationships
while i spent my time locked away, Alone, untrue and kept lying to myself.
I felt a certain emptiness while watching these characters cherish their relationships and partners.
I thought to myself "Man, They look so happy i wonder when will i experience that too"."will i be ever that happy". Growing up i didn't have great self image. My confidence is trash as in so trash i have never felt proud about anything i did,for me anything i do is "mediocre" "average".
This makes it hard to start again,makes it hard for me to find myself in this big ocean of personalities.

These thoughts crawl through my mind every time

I was just feeling this way and was actually crying(while listening to spirited away ost) then i came upon this video and started reading the lovely comments. It's easier to believe that you don't need love but deep down I know that I want it. I just feel like I've ruined myself and that I'll never be a suitable partner. But enough about me. Does anyone listen to this late at night ? I've become very afraid of going to bed over the last few years (probably because I usually can't fall asleep) and I like listening to this while studying until very late, which I never managed to do before discovering lofi. Lofi has helped me tremendously and I hope it can help many other people. This is so soothing.
