If your beer turned out ok then great job. But a no brainer for any all grainer would be to never squeeze or press your grain bed like that as you'll get off flavors from the tannins and husk particles from the grains, and possibly give you really cloudy beer. With the setup you had I think fine grain mesh bags would have worked better than the strainer...
Man it looks as though you both set out to make dog biscuits... Build a Mash Tun from a cheap picnic cooler, it makes this process very simple and easy to do... Thanks for Sharing...
Hi ThyVincent, How's the whole process going on? Have you made video (Part-2) yet? I'm very much excited to see what next. I'm learning from you.... in fact..!!
For those who are interested, I've made the Part 2 of the homebrew process. I'm sorry for the delay, I've been very busy with college and all! I hope you enjoy this video.
i watched this vid months ago when i started brewing.while learnig the "real process" i kept thinking abou tthis vid and wondering when i gota get my screen filter out lol. now i brew 1 or 2 all grain beers a week. sans screen, mash tun works much better :)
plz give the example of combination of primary and secondary malt.also their ratio and their total ratio to water in first step. plz tell the amount of hops to be used.
Of course this is as basic as it can be, this video emphasises more on the "steps" than on the "manner" of doing them. A mash tun makes the second half of this video obsolete ;)
it would more appropriate if you put a link to other parts or put them all together in one playlist, good job by the way!

@Lynux99 Indeed, especially for the filtration part. But you still ought not to forget adjusting the temperature for every step.
Man that music is cool
The video is not made yet. I should be able to do it around the end of January.
It's far from perfect but we got some pretty neat beer doing that. What do you think should be done better?

Did you set out to make beer? Was this your first time?
This would be so much easier if you built a mash tun.
How can you control the degree of the heat to be 65 for 30 minutes? since the water on fire it will increase the heat to boiling ?
Hello, I can't find part 2. Can you add the link to your description?
Where does we get hops bro
@level99x Yes. We knew the steps well but didn't forethought a procedure or anything and just simply went on.
please give the other parts for this
you shouldnt push down on the grain like that i thought just like not supposed to squeeze grain bags
Yep :)
pls give the next chapter
why not squeeze grains?
@PKJT1988 Coming soon!
This should be called "How not to brew an all grain beer"
it extracts tannins.. its an unwanted flavour in most beer styles
Of course this is as basic as it can be, this video emphasises more on the "steps" than on the "manner" of doing them. A mash tun makes the second half of this video obsolete ;)
Avoid drinking/dealing with alcohol do you don't burn in hell forever.
omg i couldnt watch the whole thing and either should anyone else
Why don't you just get a spatula with little holes in it and fish the grains out like that? Much easier.
where the hell did you learn how to brew beer its call a water cooler and you make it into a mash ton go out and get one
Amateurs :p
dont take advice from a commet.
how bothersome..just buy a beer.
i cringed watching this.
this beer is crap
