Yup, I've done many tube swap videos. K7000 are the easiest drop in replacements. Check my playlist, I even did a tube swap live. Lol. I typically save the case of the TV and swap my bad tube into it (I save the old yoke just in case) for easy recycling. My recycle center will not just take a raw tube. It needs to be cased.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair Oof! That's a bummer! My town is free. But in a nearby state where I work they charge people as well. So that's where I usually find my old TV sets for free.
The Kortek 3414 DF is compatible with the TXN line of Samsung tubes and the KV32-FS1XX Sony Trinitrons. Unfortunately, these tubes are now highly sought after in the retro community, or just hard to transport because they are so heavy.
Thanks for the great video. If trying to salvage arcade crt's (purchased standalone as crt - chassis type unknown), what is the lowest horizontal ohms we can use for the K7000 that you know of?
Hey Mike just did my first tv swap with a Panasonic TV and a kortek 2914 chassis and my picture width is too small and height is slightly big but not too bad. My old monitor was shot so just kinda did this to get experience with it. Any ideas?
That’s a digital monitor, so all I could suggest would be to install a width capacitor with a smaller value to increase the image if you have maxed out the value on the menu adjustment.
There’s already a capacitor. You’d need to replace it with a lower value to increase the size. Unfortunately, I have never worked on one of those, so I cannot say. My apologies.
@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair Understand, tx. Unfortunately, I coudn't find any 14" compatible chassis on Aliexpress, but perhaps I could do this procedure with 14" compatible chassis of another brand (?). what do you think about it.

My local center charges to dispose of tubes. Last time I went it was $50/tube.

Yup.
Great video!!! Best thing about them...NO BURN IN.
Also 2. 25 inch tv tubes i used both had the same 130 volt regulators for the 7000s.
Awesome arcade project.
I'm glad I clicked on this video... I've been seeing these type of old TV's in garage sales lately. Thanks Mike!
Bit rough saying to throw away the original TV chassis. Almost any of them with an OSD can be RGB-modded and used as an arcade chassis.
True.
Flippin awesome score sir !

Mike i first thought you were going to rgb mod a tv!!! Nice vid

@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepairNo worries Mike. That will be a nice project for me. Keep up the good videos. Very informative.
hello sir
i have just a chassi how do i know the reading for a yoks
Thanks for the tip!
I have a Philips G-A48ACB02X tube i would like to use a G07 chasis that I have. Will this work?
Tube, yes. Yoke, no. You’d need the original G07 yoke
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair ok. I got the g07 yoke too
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
New sub here.
Hi Mike, do you know if it also works with a 14” tube ? Thanks
They do have 13” versions of this chassis but you can’t use a 19” chassis on a 13” tube without changing a bunch of caps to different ratings.

... I have wondered.... would the universal aliexpress type chassis be compatible with this tube? (or is that what you are using?)
Yup! Should be.
hello , there is any monitor chasis for sony trinitron?
Nope.
I like to do a tv like yours , we're a could get a good monitor chasis?
That's pretty cool.
