This is so far from the truth. The principled partnership Fortunato has with the farm families of the Maranon Valley is how it should be done. They pay far above fair trade and are respected members of the community. It is making so much possible for the amazing and hard working farmers who make this delicious chocolate possible..

I read that they voluntarily pay the farmers ten times the going rate.
