- We finally got the opportunity to check out the final production model of the Simple Energy's long awaited scooter - One - at its launch event. While the scooter has gone through multiple changes from the first iteration showcased back in August 2021, its prices too have been revised at which lacs of people booked it. Why did all of this happen, we tell you in this video.
They first announced its starting price to be Rs 1.10 lacs, and took over 1 lac bookings. Now they say, nobody (the ones who booked) will get it at the previously announced price. Ethical?
Investing that money they extra earned 3 cr from 1 lakhs customers 🙃

Looks dicey. Definitely not ethical when looked at per se, but not sure if any commitment was made about price protection to its customers.

They reduced the mileage and increased the price. Wow. What a strategy. It's too costly for most customer's.
Customer care ko phone Kiya tha bole ki new price after reducing the old subsidy. Updated price will be announced soon after new FAME 2 subsidy...

First impression of the company is most important for customer's other wise they will change their mind hope simple one will understand

This seems to be a trend in the auto industry now. Launch the car at a lower price, get everyone excited, take as many as bookings you can, make the customer wait and increase the price. If the customer cancels, then make a profit by charging them 10%. It might sound immoral, but it's a good business strategy while our government sleeps. There should have been a law, i will pay the price whatever it is at the time of booking not the time of delivery, cause that is the price I had agreed upon. And this scooter, yeah..this has ages to go before its gonna be practical. Until then I suggest the company to keep increasing the prices, considering the new FAME subsidy has been reduced.

@@dhavalchirmade3225 oh i was taking about the automobile industry in general. This company may refund the full amount, not the others. This company is a start up, if they didn't refund the full amount, i doubt they would have been able to sell anything in the future. My suggestion to this company is to keep increasing the prices cause the FAME subsidy has gone down and with time the Govt is probably going to do away with the subsidy all together. And remember, customers who had booked the scooter two years back, are yet to see something. And for a price of 1.5 lacs wonder how many would feel the electric scooter market feasible, considering the infrastructure to support the electric vehicles is almost non existent and the range is going to decline year on year and by then end of 5 years the sccoter is going to worth scrap as it literally would have no resale value. Now you are going to be stuck with a scooter which you cannot sell as the battery won't give you the range. Any person looking to get battery replaced is going to shell out almost half the cost of the scooter during that time. And I don't think currently non off these companies have a standardized battery, that if swapable, can be replaced from a charging station.
Looks like one has to always ride in the ECO mode only for getting the best range. As said shifting to the next faster mode, the range gets drastically reduced to lesser than half of the 150 kms range. This is totally not acceptable. Simple should work on this. Anyway hearing this I presume many who have prebooked, would be disappointed.
Could you pls share the battery durability and it's price when it requires replacement? Thanks

Bhai, ek saal se mera refund nahi de rahi company. Inka call center bhi gharse chalta hai. Refund ki details bhi nahi de rahe. Yeh ola company se char kadam aage hai lootne mein
It is overpriced for the quality they are offering that also without 750W charger. they should have kept the promise for at least pre-bookings

It’s not a company owned channel. It’s a first look video done by an automobile publication. And we too have raised the same issues in this video. We can understand your condition as a consumer, but you got to be able to understand the difference between a review channel vs a brand’s own channel.
