I really like these b/c it's animals not heard about so much. Television most shows do the same popular ones b/c the ppl at the networks are like....these are the popular ones ppl are interested in n will draw crowds. So when they select shows it's the ones with the same stuff. You all don't have those constraints n network ppl gate keeping the show list.

Given they're making legitimate educational videos, they should search for research video clips, *_not_* TV show clips. 🫤 I don't know if bioArxiv has any or not, but... maybe the papers include links to their research vids... That or, bite the bullet and just include it anyways, foregoing ad revenue. The goal is education, but they've removed 1/3rd of the education. _(I'm not hating, as I've seen all this stuff before)_

It is what it is and I'm thankful that the editors give us what they do in as pure a form as they can. I think the problem is that produced videos are simply more interesting than dry ones that don't think about entertainment value. And they're often harder to find as well. Maya is often putting these together within a day or two. Nevertheless, I do agree that with these and animal quests, having videos that can't be rewatched on RUclips does suck. In an alternate universe, voiceover Maya would fill in the gaps for us LOL

However, then I realized that once it hit YT, the amount of views it'll get well increase by an order of magnitude (eventually heh), and I figured that would justify the effort to find usable clips. Because I feel like Maya, Ze Frank, Lindsay Nikole, etc, are on the right track when it comes to teaching the new generation. They connect with the viewers, make learning enjoyable, and thereby make people WANT to learn!
