@@Coldlife565 dynamics is the sound volume of the music. Going up and down and not set on just one level, like the Hans Zimmer score. If you listen to this one, different instruments take the spot-light every now and then.
Oh shit, the cue that starts at 9:42 is astounding. The rhythmic energy is amazing and the way he orchestrates it is just wow. The motif that starts the cue was neat to hear in this context as it was much slower and more dramatic in its use in Batman Forever. This whole suite you’ve assembled has been a real treat. I’ve never been able to hear most of this.
Goldenthal said the main Batman theme was deliberately bombastic and meant to evoke the sort of score a little boy might compose (or sing out loud) while playing with action figures.
Rewatched this movie the other night. It sucks the big one, but the score is indeed fantastic. That Goldenthal put such palpable care and creativity into it is a testament to his professionalism.
I was probably 6 or 7 years old when this movie came out and i had a blast with the music. Even tho i was a little kid, the music of this film got my atention. Now im 29 and i love this Score. The movie is obviously not good but the music is amazing.
The pieces you select for each suite is brilliant. They never seize to amaze me. Bravo! I have now bought over 15 CDs as a result of trying them out from your uploads first!
D Mentia Thank you very much, that's very kind of you. Unfortunately this brilliant score didn't get a proper release yet. After listening to it dozens of times I'm still fascinated by the sheer brilliance of the orchestration and the playing.
I noticed after a while of listening to Zimmer's music for Batman - I felt a bit weary, like I've been sonically bombarded from a musical shouting match. With this 1990s Batman series, I know it's not perfect, but Elliot's music just nails the charm and joy of Batman; you can really hear the nuance of his melodies.
In typical Goldenthalian fashion did he deliver a masterpiece soundtrack for a terrible film. It's really a shame he hasn't gotten the chance to work on many great movies. He would be much more known and beloved than he currently is. Which is just terrible. He's one of the greatest living artists in my eyes.
Agreed. But we still have Batman Forever which had most of the same scores to it. And Batmsn Forever is still fun and good movie to watch. Batman & Robin was not so well at all , but as Schummacher was said : Movie was just my atention to entertain ,and he also said his apologies if someone was not happy with this movie. For me Batman & Robin was just ok. But I still love Batman Forever and Tim Burton ones. 🙂
I hate to say this but I would rather watch Batman and Robin ten more times than Batman v Superman, Man of Steel and Zack Synder's Justice League. Why? Because Batman and Robin had somethings that those movies didn't have and that is personalty and good music score.
I absolutely agree. No offence to Batman Begins but I thought the music change was so underwhelming (I did enjoy the redemption theme when Bruce and Rachel reconcile in the last scene) but I still watch the 1989-1997 era of films for their charm and music scores which hasn't been bettered IMO. I still love these films no matter the criticism.
EXACTLY! People are slowly starting to appreciate this film, because now people are hating DC for being “too dark” after The Dark Knight Rises working out when Green Lantern didn’t.
I absolutely love the Goldenthal score for Batman Forever and Batman And Robin. The man is a genius!
I think the score is better than the movie and the music is beautiful.
Boy have you got that right! Maybe we can donate this music to a movie that deserves it...
it is beutifull but not fit to batman movie.
batman movie nead more darker score, like Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer did
@@SigalDa Zimmer's scores are always overrated. A good score has a meoldy that sticks. Zimmer's scores are just noise.

@@SigalDa Batman isn’t always dark. That’s what people don’t understand.
Remember when film music used to be interesting? Using dynamics and full orchestras? Good times.
And memorable leitmotivs
I would definitely start up the Gotham Symphony Orchestra to do the music of Batman to use leitmotifs dynamics and full orchestras
With Leitmotifs full orchestra and dynamics
What are dynamics? And yeah I agree

Despite my feelings about these movies, this is seriously one of the most underrated Batman scores.
I liked all Batman music, and this one is no exception.
Me too

The score of the Schumacher Batman films was spectacular. Even in these times still sounds great... Elliot Goldenthal do an amazing job here!
Underrated score for sure
Yeah, belonged in a much better movie. Too bad it was wasted for that abomination with the bat credit card.
@@zacwollervoiceninja5136 Batman and Robin isn’t the worst sequel ever made.

I think this film gets unfair judgment.

this amazing score deserved a better movie
You'll find that applies to a lot of movies/scores.

You’re Welcome
The only thing this suite is missing is the James Bond-inspired Poison Ivy seduction cues.
Sounds like Alien 3 but more happy.
This was marvelous. The sound quality was studio quality...far superior to the bootleg CD. How did you fine such a crisp, clean recording?
I'd also like to know where this recording came from.
@@JeremyRobson XXensational please post the One More Diamond/The Ball with this quality!
It's from the cancelled score album that was leaked.

Underrated score
Goldenthal's score is the best thing about this goofy-ass movie.
You can hear the hopelessly oppressive, unnerving, dystopic, campy absurdity of Gotham City. i miss this approach to batman.
This is actually my favourite Batman movie theme. Tied with Shirley Walkers Mask of the Phantasm
Amazing! Overall, I don't remember it being quite like this in the movie.
this is that right!
thanks for uploading. Those were the days: When they still wrote proper melodies. I like Zimmer but he spoiled a lot.
