it is a yearly event that i rewatch this movie with my favorite Starbucks drink (peppermint mocha latte) and a small handful of shortbread cookies over the christmas holidays. its just a fantastic movie, arguably Wes's best film he's ever done.
He does always seem to have the same people with the exception of a few sprinkled in here and there. He must be wonderful to work with because look at the cast of regulars, some of the greatest actors of our time. This is one of my favorite Wes Anderson movies, I’ve watched it so many times I’ve memorized some of the lines and love it when I’m afforded the opportunity to use them in my daily life dealing with the mundane creatures in it. “She was shaking like a shitting dog” “that would be me darling” classic
Watching this movie in Theaters is a complete different experience. You can't enjoy the grandness of this movie in any OTT platform in your small screen
not every movie has to be about The Holocaust, or systematic enslavement of women they can be about fun stuff; even in the backdrop of Nazi Germany I can see why actors line up to get in WA's movies
@@PALACIO254 It was an Imperial Palace only for the Emperor Wilhelm II in Strasbourg when it was german. It's called the Rhein Palace and it still exist.
Both me and my mother watched this movie in theaters and we were like " WTH is this movie?" i swear i have never been so bored with watching a movie. and I'm a woman who likes mystery movie/romance. I think this has to be one of those movies that just gravitates to some people.
This is one of the best films in the last 30 years.
Definitely on my Mt Rushmore of all time films.
You forgot, Dont Panic
Actually it's mediocre at best.
No it’s not lol but it’s a good film for sure
@@tanberetO gime one better
I was blown away by F. Murray Abraham. He has a tiny scene yet he delivers 110%
some films have stars in the cast, this movie has a galaxy
French dispatch is universe
Just watching how the sets are put together, you can see how Wes and his crew work in layers, like a relief sculpture artist.
It's like Wes Anderson established his own Society of Crossed Keys, with all these wonderful actors.
I enjoy this movie so much, a gem.
A hidden gem of a movie
I bet making this film was better than the film itself. I am envious of their experience!
Ralph Fiennes' range is truly phenomenal
You take back that bit about my cun' fkng kids!!

Enjoyed it years ago, ages like fine wine
This movie is by far the best work of West Anderson

it's one of my Christmas Movies as well, although I'd prefer a Tee
@@Draculhuhn a peppermint or a herbal tea is just as nice. very comforting for a dark yet heart warming movie like this.
That sounds like such a lovely tradition.
Wes and the crew are all geniuses
This is a lonely comment section. Secretive almost.
It is.
yeap
Truly.
This is such a wondeful film on so many levels and holds a unique place in film history. 😊
When are they going to start filming the back story of the Society of the Crossed Keys ? Original cast please !
Indeed!
There are so many spin off stories that could come from this single movie!
@@aurktman1106 At last a worth while francize !!
A Crossed Keys Extended Universe...
The original cast is too old for a back story movie now, without loads of weird looking CGI.
instantly added to my top 10 list that goes back atleast 50 years of movies

Never heard of this one. Definitely need to see!
I want this film played at my funeral.

Обалденный фильм!
Bill Murray is in almost every Anderson's movies.
They spend about three times longer talking in this video about the Society of the Crossed Keys than their appearance in the actual film.
Thanks to Saturday day ights at the Movies.....for the music
anybody who hasn't seen this ... go see this.
How many famous actors are in this?
Yes.
As many as Wes could get...
Not only famous they are also intelligent and fits in to this. They enjoy this
