Thanks for the video Jake. I know these take a lot of time. I appreciate it
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate that, glad you enjoy them.
I use to use CVS for my bash scripts. But git is way more better. I've learned the basics of git and thanks to your video I learned a bit more. Awesome job!
Have not heard of anyone using CVS for quite some time, but if it works why not. How long have you been using it?
@@JakeLinux Not that long. Maybe a year. When I heard of git and tried it, I was hooked.
Quality content as usual, keep it up!
Enjoy every single part of your content, hope we can grow with you on this adventure you are taking!

Thank you. I learned a lot from this video.
You're every welcome, I'm glad it was informative.
Great video! Nice tips for getting started with git.
Thanks
How come you went back to Artix?
Just briefly, I have been playing around in different distros for the past few months, was in nixOS for a month, then Debian 12 for about a month and a half, now artix for the past month. I am going to be back on void before too much longer.
I use git, btw.
I write btw comments, btw.
@@folksurvival You can't use "btw" two times in one sentence, btw.
hi jake! how is the dinit init system?
Dinit is easy and fast, it is even faster than runit. It also has some systemD similarities.
@@JakeLinux are there any down sides?
I do not think it is a good start to create a central repo before having a local repo. Creates bad habits/perception
I couldn't be abe to customize my DE without "git", not mentioning ZSH....!
This is true
