Logging Ten Acre Maple Bush

Logging a small hardwood stand with chainsaw and John Deere 748 cable skidder. It is mostly hard maple, which will be used for sawlogs and firewood. This bush will eventually be completely cleared and turned into work land. Filmed Mar 2024

I think it’s a 748, the decals are gone but it’s bigger than his other 648

@@ericbrinson9741 sweet, I had a 748 dual arch not long ago. Couldn’t cut by hand with it very great in pulp but it would pull like a bastard behind the buncher.

@@johndowner9295 it used to be a dual arch with no winch but he needed a cable skidder at the time so converted it. It pulls crazy hard too

It must be hard to make these small jobs work as were I am in NS 10 acres on selective cut only produces a load of veneer and three loads of sawlogs on a real good cut
