Thank you all so much for watching!! Be sure to follow me on Instagram for all future episode updates! I had so much fun making this dream a reality in my Cinematography journey!😭🦅 If you’d like to purchase a piece or place an order, you can find Kevin Billah on Facebook! Serious inquiries only!🤘🏽
I am literally in awe! Both of you are true craftsmen. You captured his meticulous art, beautifully. I sit with tears in my eyes, posting this. Words cannot express enough...this is pure love at it's finest! 🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤
I see you guys are going to be on ghost adventures 😊I watch all the videos I can of your videos, I'm just elderly on a fixed income or I would join ❤ love you guys 💗
This is beautiful! Not only the jewelry, but the story. His jewelry reminds me of some jewelry I got from my mom years ago. We lived in Alaska when I was young and my mom was dating the son of the chief of the Athabascan tribe. He gave her a beautiful jewelry set. After they split up, she gave them to me because he and I were so close. I still have it, but I'm not sure that it's 100% silver, so I can't wear it. I love the personalization this guy puts into his work- it makes each piece tell a story 💚
I love Navajo jewelry!! I’ve fortunate enough to meet a few silversmith. I have a few pieces that I hold dear to my heart and I love to tell people where I got them!
Greetings from Greece ❤️ Not from your tribe but the love for this craft is shared in our hearts. Thank you for bringing this ancient form of expression forward into the light.
Ago! Thank u Kevin n Shanclen for sharing this with us. He has a creative spirit. It's honor to see him carry on with his ancestors craft. Today's youth aren't as interested in family traditions. Beautiful craftsmanship. Awesome Sending Love n Light
How wonderful! I dont know why but I've spent countless hours over the years watching silversmithing and goldsmithing videos, what an art, beautiful! It inspired me to make a pair of silver earrings and a gold pair which I still wear but nothing as magnificent as these amazing pieces, wonderful! The lapidary process is awesome as well. 🖖😎
Thank you for sharing this with us. 😊 With so much made by machine these days its good to see an artist craftsman still making beautiful functional & wearable art.
That is a beautiful ring! Kevin is an artist for sure! My oldest daughter took a silversmithing class from one of our rock club members and she has made some lovely pendants and earrings. Jewelry making is fun and relaxing. Thankyou for sharing what you do.😊
Recently, I had wanted to purchase two pairs of earrings and wasn’t able to as they sold very fast. They were earrings by this artist! This was awesome to watch, his work is absolutely beautiful.
Great video! Seeing Kevin using the jewelry saw brought up memories from my art class in high school. Those things are so easy to break if you apply too much pressure. I broke quite a few doing copper enameling. He made it look so easy. That's the sign of someone who's been doing that for a long time. The finished ring was gorgeous.
Dude! I just saw you on Ghost Adventures!! When Zak said “Shanclen” I was like wait a minute… and then you showed up on the tv! That’s so cool that you got to do another episode with them! I know you did Vulture mine with them but it’s great to see you there doing big things!
The prayers that I asked for in your comment section of your previous video helped a lot. Thank you. Whoever you are out there watching out for me. I love the jewelry. This is freaking amazing.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is what I want!! I would love to buy jewelry that Ik, love and good intentions were literally carved into it and that something that always came from indigenous culture. I’m so thankful to gotten to see the process and learning
My friend I knew Gibson, Mr Gonnie. What words to say. So Gibson has been a force that help me. I understood a lot through him, there has been the times he guides me from the other side
Took me moving to south Texas to appreciate what I grew up knowing about Gallup, NM. I’m not indigenous but miss the Navajo tacos, the jewelry, ceremonials, etc. We often go back to visit Gallup, still have family there, any chance I get to go to Gallup flea market I’m in the lookout for silversmith’s. Their work is beautiful! I can admire and appreciate all the work it took to make such a spectacular piece.
Gorgeous and the craftsmanship is amazing. His story has magick to it and I'm lookin' at how he crafts each work of art and its beautiful. Like a master he tells the silver his idea and the silver is happy to follow. I feel like if I want a piece made, I have to go visit him and bring the stone with me. I feel like he would tell me the story of the stone and the piece he made would be one that started a story. I love it!!
This is so well shot. You also did a awesome job with all the editing. You both are very talented artists in both your chosen fields. My Dad used to make documentaries and did a radio interview show. He would of loved this.
WOW! i am usually not commenting anything but i love everything about this video. The fact you made this video on your own, you made it about your craftsman brother, that it included beautiful jewelry and that this man is just a pure soul that is for sure. I love watching and listening to all the indigenous people. Somehow it resonates and fulfill my heart, i am becoming emotionall too. I feel like and can just trust you guys. Much love from Poland.
Very nice docu-mini. Good angles and lighting. I think. Ive never really considered analyzing or really paid attention to how a film was shot before. I think you did a great job.
dont know where my ring is but assume its origin is somewhere related to here, is one of most prized possessions, got it after witnessing falcons hawk whatever back to back to back, didn't realize it would be the start of something wild.
Saw you on a video on another channel smoking a pipe. As a pipe smoker i would love to see a pipe video. What pipes you have, what tobaccos, if you use any other native american blends like kinnikinnick, etc and how it relates if at all to your heritage and traditions if it all. Some history related to pipes and tobacco in relation to your tribe would be cool too. Keep up the good videos.
Whenever you are ready you have been chosen to be my number 1 head honcho top dog numero uno. I will be waiting for you if you choose to take this mission. 😊
My grandfather was a Silversmith, he made everything by hand. From leaves to fancy beads and he could restore everything. I didn’t realize how popular and talented he was until someone told me , white men would commission him to create Squashblossom necklaces for their wives, because a normal sized necklace would be lost on them. Apparently, he could charge an arm and leg for his creations. His name was Harvey Olden Dixon.
