Chopra was a big name in the industry, and he was likely among the jury members of the Filmfare/National Film Awards or at least had a great influence on the selections, which initially reflected in 1995 when Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna was prefered over Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jana Sanam.
