This verse is most often quoted verse of BG, this quoted most often but not understood clearly.
BG 2.47 => Only ¼th of this verse is quoted. karmany evadhikaras te. That we have right, Adhikar, authority to do Karma
But it has four parts and each of these parts has significance
First ¼ : We have right to do karma.
      ma phaleshu kadacana
Second 1/4: we don’t have right for fruits of our karma. We should not demand the fruit.
      ma karma-phala-hetur bhur,
Third ¼ : one should not think himself producer of the of the fruits.
      ma te sango ‘stv akarmani
Fourth 1/4: one should not think that because I shouldn’t get the fruits so I will not do karma only.
Half hen logic - if one take BG only those section which fit into our world view and we reject those which don’t fit to our world view, then we miss out on much of what BG can offer us. BG can offer us all round elevation, understanding of our self & God and our relationship. That will come if we accept BG as it is.
Most of the people only quote this ¼ verse, karmany evadhikaras te, I have a right to do my work so actually speaking what does this verse actually talking about here? If we look at the flow of BG, essentially Lord Krishna is talking to seek the eternal don’t seek the temporary, He has not explicitly stated that but He has talked about the eternal soul in BG 2.11 to 2.30 and then He told be detach from the material BG 2.38 onwards, that is the theme from BG 2.38, Sukhe Dukhe Same Kritwa, that means you are the eternal soul and everything in material is superficial so don’t be excited about that, be equipoised in happiness and distress and then after this He has talked about the superiority of this over seeking materially good things, He is describing the way to attain eternal.
So let us look the four parts:

First is karmany evadhikaras te, ¼: we have right to do work, what it is referred to? Actually most people think that we have right to the results we don’t care whether we have right to work or not it is seen that students don’t want work but wants result that why there are last min guide and things like that they wanted to put least efforts and wanted the result. Few people think that I have right to work. BG says opposite you have right to work but do not consider that you have right to the fruit. What does it mean actually?
Work is performed in the world not only for material results but also spiritual results. How can work produce spiritual result? It depends on what kind of work it is, if one is doing its own activity not according to scripture but according to worldly standard of what is right and what is wrong, then you continue at the ordinarily worldly level but if one understands spiritual knowledge and tries to practice spiritual knowledge then one understand that I am soul and I will rise to the level of soul, so how I will rise to the level of the soul by purifying myself. What does it mean to purify myself, it mean that the soul is Sat Cid Ananda and everything which makes soul forget sac cit ananda nature in one sense impurity now those which are gross sensory or immoral pleasure they are consider to very impure form spiritual point of view these are anti-spiritual they choke and check out spiritual life. E.g. purpose of study is learning, byproduct is to perform in exam so by study not only we learn the subject but by this our mind (here ref to faculty for deep thought) grows by study…by study person develops thinking, reasoning & grasping capacity along with the understanding of the subject and all of these as a byproduct leads to acquire good marks.
Similarly we do our worldly duty with spiritual understanding of life that enables us to grow in our inner understanding, develop knowledge. When I act in detachment, by that the understanding that I am not body I am soul increases.

The saddest thing the current time has ever done is make Hinduism a religion. It never was a religion. It’s a philosophy so wide and deep. It’s culture and way of life. And I’m proud Hindus are slowly coming to realise that ❤

@@DivineArtKripa The religious aspect you're referring to is actually one of the many philosophies within Hinduism, known as Bhakti, which focuses on the worship of gods and goddesses. However, Hinduism encompasses several other philosophies, such as Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, Sankhya, and more. Unfortunately, due to Islamic and Christian invasions, the Bhakti movement gained significant prominence and became the dominant face of Hinduism since the 1700s. As a result, many people today associate Hinduism solely with Bhakti and mistakenly perceive it as a cult, which is far from the truth. If you look closer, you'll find many fascinating ideas and philosophies within Hinduism.

Religion became problematic when wrong people took religion and instead of teaching love and self-understanding started using it for control, power and manipulation. Religion is good or bad depending on who’s teaching it. Here is Krishna teaching what is dharma which is the purpose of religion to keep universal principles conscious, beneficial for all living beings.

One of the details that I find the most fascinating about the Gita is that Krishna tells Arjuna - If you lay down your bow, and walk away from the battlefield because you have chosen peace and have taken a vow against the slaughter of fellow man, I will let you walk away, but Arjuna the reason you want to leave is not that. Doing the right thing but for the wrong reason is a mistake that stands above other mistakes.

@@Xboxlove1 I believe it means that although arjuna says he'll leave the battlefield because he doesn't want to slaughter a fellow man, that he wants peace, it is not the reason he wants to step back. He wants to step back because he is emotionally attached to the people on the other side of the war, his family and his companions, and does not want to fight with them. Thus, he is using a want for peace as an excuse to step back whilst the true reason is his attachment. Thus, doing the right thing( wanting to leave the war) for the wrong reason( because he doesn't want to fight his family and friends instead of because he doesn't want to harm Anyone) is still a mistake above the other mistakes

I let go of most of these things over the years because I’ve become so “results based” in things that I have let fear replace my love for these stories in many ways. Yesterday- I came across something about ancestors guides and blah blah. It reminded me of dear sweet Krishna, and for the first time in a long time I prayed to a “deity” instead of doing subconscious work. Today this shows up and reminds me much of what this trip is all about. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us! I wish I had more to give you. Thank you 🫶

You're so underrated, this video is a gem primarily because of how well the narration was along with the lesson given by bhagwad gita. I've recommended this to all the people nd I have developed an habit of listening to something impactful before I end the day. This has became my favourite, I don't even have to look for philosophical discussions anymore. This is the one I listen to every night again and again. I really appreciate it and I can't express how much I loved your work with mere words.
Btw seeing your other videos and this one, there's a difference, the question that this video answers is relatable and common. If I can say 1 thing to you is the questions being discussed matter the most when it comes to philosophical discussions.

wow. this channel is amazing. as a seventeen year old Hindu, it is so difficult to find communities who wants to explore spirituality and dharma. Thank you for guiding me, and this video honestly couldn't have come at a better time. I am currently losing the battle within and I feel like Arjuna did, i know there's a battle ahead of me, I know what I should be doing, but can't seem to translate my thoughts into action. Thank you Krishna, my Lord, for this sign, thank you so much for this insightful video. May Krishna forever guide us to our higher purpose!

Love the way you share the teachings of the Gita in such a relatable and accessible way - I was gripped in the first minute by the very relatable example of struggling to get out of bed in the morning! I always need a refresher of the teachings in the Gita every so often when my mind starts pulling me away with it 🤡 Love the animations in the video too. Thanks for making this 🙏🧡

Thank you so much for such a beautiful interpretation of Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta.. it was filled with multiple modern day references.. The beginning was so good, that everytime we choose Discipline and rise above comforts we are choosing Dharma, and doing what Shri Krishna wants us to do... There were multiple moments in the entire video when I felt the teachings to my core.. Thank you for enlightening, and making a difference in my life.. May Shri Krishna bless you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Self-awareness is a deep ocean and its relation to acting less impulsively seems like drowning in it without panic.
With no shore in visible distance, the part 'without judgement' turns out to be a transparent lifesaver the water-filled afraid eyes could not see before.
