Great meet but it's usually not good when a tank car vents like that, especially if it has hazmat on board. Could be a working chemical reaction which is just as bad. Glad to see CSX still has its' travelling barking seal troup. Excellent as always, thanks.

Nice horn salute from the CSX M204...
The other day, when I was on my way to get a hair cut, I got stopped at a crossing for the first time in quite a while. I think the train that went by was the NS 28b. It was intermodal, and it had BNSF power. This happened the day after you filmed the train during the meet.
The crossing gates on the CSX crossing were down a long time before the CSX manifest train arrived during the triple train meet. The NS train in the triple meet wasn't moving very fast either.

What better show than a slow-roll of Selkirk's finest (M367...let's not forget his partner M368), showin'-off those one-of-a-kind "Fallen Flags"...his time, a Norfolk & Western "shorty" hopper @6:05, followed by an unusual Winchester & Western hopper @6:30. Nice to see the "trash train" make an appearance...been a while... 👍👍

0:08 We are at the Middle Road crossing on the east side of Dunkirk, New York on the south side of the CSX tracks by the Nestle Purina Dog Food Plant. It is 21 February 2023. We are looking east at CSX train #I001. The train is warning of its approach to Middle Road. At 0:29 CSX train #I001 starts across Middle Road. At 1:13 CSX train #I001 passes Middle Road. The train continues around the curve that takes it up the east end of the elevated tracks through Dunkirk, New York.
1:45 We hear a horn blowing. You determine that the blowing horn is coming from a train on the Norfolk Southern tracks which are a quarter of a mile south of the CSX tracks. At 2:07 we hear the bells on the CSX gates ringing and the CSX gates go down.
2:45 The gates at the Norfolk Southern Middle Road crossing are going down. You zoom in on the lowering Norfolk Southern gates. At 2:55 we see Norfolk Southern train #28B hitting Middle Road. A pair of Canada Geese that are standing in the grass before the employee parking lot driveway for the Nestle Purina plant look up as the Norfolk Southern train starts to pass.
4:01 You realize that a CSX train is coming, and you quickly turn toward the CSX tracks. You look east at CSX train #M367 which is approaching Middle Road. The train is on track #1 and is moving slowly because CSX train #I001 which passed us on track #2 is using the crossover at Control Point #42, near Temple Road, on the west side of Dunkirk, New York to transfer to track #1. At 5:09 CSX train #M367 starts across Middle Road. At 9:46 CSX train #M367 passes Middle Road and continues around the curve to the east end of the elevated tracks through Dunkirk, New York.
10:52 You zoom in on the Control Point 37 signal bridge. We see that there is a green signal for a future eastbound CSX train. At 11:08 the lights on the Control Point 37 signals turn off.
12:09 We are at the CSX tracks at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 15 February 2023. We are looking west where we see the headlight of CSX train #M204. We see that CSX train #M204 has started across Lake Road. At 12:20 CSX train #M204 warns of its approach to Berry Road. At 12:41 Strain #M204 starts across Berry Road. CSX train #M024 passes Berry Road at 15:16. You zoom in on CSX train #M204 as it continues to its destination. At 15:56 CSX train #M204 passes the Milepost 44.8 signals. At 16:23 the lights on the Milepost 44.8 signals go dark.
16:34 You look east on the CSX tracks to find no trains coming from that dierection. You then look west to see no CSX trains coming from the west.
16:48 we are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 16 February 2023. We are looking west. We see the headlight of a CSX train about one and one-half miles from Berry Road. As you zoom in on the train, we see that CSX train #M634, which is on track #2, is close to the Lake Road crossing. We also see that there is a hi rail truck on track #1. At 17:11 CSX train #M634 starts across Lake Road. At 17:34 CSX train #M634 blows its horn to warn us of its approach to Berry Road. At 17:46 CSX train #M364 starts across Berry Road. At 17:46 CSX train #M634 starts across Berry Road. A mid-train DPU appears in the train at 18:09. All the cars after the DPU were open top high sided gondola cars used to transport garbage from New York City. As you zoom in on the end of CSX train #M634 we watch it as it goes through the Milepost 44.8 signals on both sides of the tracks. At 19:50 CSX train #M634 passes the Milepost 44.8 signals. The lights on the Milepost 44.8 signals go out at 20:06. At 20:15 CSX train #M634 passes Vanburen Road.
20:27 You walk close to CSX track #1 so you can zoom in on the work crew that is close to the Milepost 47 signals. It appears the hi rail truck that is stopped on track #1 is a boom truck that might be working on the Milepost 47 to the right of track #1.
21:07 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 19 February 2023. CSX train #I017 is blowing its horn as it approaches Berry Road. CSX train #I017 hits Berry Road at 21:17. At 21:32 a mid-train DPU appears. CSX train #I017 passes Berry Road at 22:40. You zoom in on CSX train #I017 and we watch as it passes Lake Road at 23:14.
23:48 We look west on the CSX tracks to see no trains coming.
23:55 Your Outro begins and ends on 28.11.
Thank you for documenting these trains in the Dunkirk, New York area in mid-February 2023. That was a great triple meet of CSX and Norfolk Southern trains at the CSX and Norfolk Southern Middle Road crossings on 21 February 2023. The train action at the Berry Road crossing on various days in February 2023 was interesting to watch. (Posted 24 February 2023 at 14.46 CDT.)

Hey Mike !!1 Sorry to say ,,but that ""FRED"" devise on the rear of that East Palestine train did NOTHING to stop the train to prevent the derailment ,but a ""Conductor "" sitting in a ""OL"" bay window caboose surly would have seen it long B/4 that train made it to Salem , OH .. & Stopped it !!! Yaw,, everybody knows that would mean another employee on the train instead of 2 up front ,but $$$$ & Safety are the main factures !!🤔🙄👀👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
