Can I recommend this video to Cali Raise? They literally sent videos of a user on how to install on a 5th gen. Your video is the most easiest one to follow
Mine just arrived today. Bought them after attending the 2023 Toyota Jamboree in Gilmer TX. Excellent video, looks easy peazy. Thanks for taking the time to show the install. Nice work!
Great stuff. Looking forward to your feedback on the new head unit. Wondering if the sound quality is good with all the sound system upgrades you did previously.
How do you like Cali Raised Rock slider i been looking at them for my 4th gen 4runner and do you like the Circular cut outs in the Step plates and did you get the 20 degree or the 0 degree? @TRD JON
They look good but I’m disappointed about all those misaligned holes. It shouldn’t happen since we are paying lot of money just for some steel.. at least they should fit perfectly!
I disagree with that. Proper Jigs should give you a near perfect results if done right. My SSO sliders had 16 bots per side, if I remember correctly, and everyone of them lined up perfectly. So technically, they kinda fit. LOL
Did you ever install the 2 additional brackets on the drivers side? Why did you opt to not install them? I installed mine and thought I didn't need those extra brackets so I left them off as well. But the passenger side has those 1/2 bolts as additional support I'm thinking about installing the brackets on the drivers side now to make the support even.
I see in some pics from their site where the hole groves stick up for better grip when you are standing on them. Is that an option? Meaning did you choose to have the grooves face down for yours?
Hi Jon maybe you can help me out with this issue. I just did a 3in lift and need a running boards that hang lower and less tuck in to the 4runner for easy access to get in and out. I seen the power electricity one's but way to expensive. Would you have any ideas. Thanks again
Nice video Jon, I'm on my 4 th Tacoma and I am planning on my first 4 Runner =2020 and I have a question for you or your viewers ; most of the 2019 TRD OffRoad 4 runners that are coming into my local Toyota dealer here on the west coast are coming in with the sun roof option. I'm concerned with mechanical problems or water leaks and I really don't want a sun roof. Do you know of any problems with the sun roof on the 4 Runners ? thanks
Sadly it's getting to the point to where we'll have sun roofs in every car. I agree it's just another area water can leak in from. I hate sun roofs and don't even use them on my 19 TRD Pro 4runner.
You can get the regular TRD Off Road and not the premium and it shouldnt have the sun roof. I had one on my 95 and loved it, had no issues, but buddy has one on his 2003 and it leaks and doesn't work anymore. So I guess IMO its one of those things that could be hit or miss.
I have a 2016 Trail Premium which is exactly the same as the Off Road Pro (just a different name) and I've never had a problem with it. In fact if you open it and the back window, you get a real nice breeze and don't have to use the AC as much. Hope that helps
Jeff I have an 18 trd off-road premium w/ the sun roof. I love it and have had no issues in this year of ownership at all. I have a few buddies with them and they haven’t had issues either and their years range from 13-18. We all love it and especially the breeze that comes through when it and the rear window are open. But to each his own and you can’t go wrong either way
TRD JON there are two different rock sliders that Cali Raised offers. A step edition and a trail edition. caliraisedled.com/collections/2014-2020-toyota-4runner-rock-sliders
Absolutely useless garbage, I just spent close to $900 on these sliders. The holes mounted perfectly and all my frame holes were threaded from factory (2020trd offroad) but AMAZINGLY these sliders stick out LESS then the factory ones. How the hell you put your foot on these to get into your lifted 4runner??? Why did they design these like this? Unreal
I use mine as a step. Not an amazing step but it definitely works. Could try to sell on the marketplace if possible. Off road market is hot so I’m sure somebody will snag them.
Exactly what I needed to see! I am excited to put these on!
No worries!

Of course! These are older ones too, their newer ones are even better.
painted mine overnight and putting them on today. thanks for the vid
I just took my side steps off and looking into getting a set of these for the runner.
Nice! They have updated versions now.
@@TRDJon I like the angled ones and may go Cali raised 😎👍
Finally installed? Do my eyes deceive me?
Looking good bro! Love Cali Raised products, they are top notch!

Looks so clean very nice man nice mod to the 4runner
Thanks man!! Happy with them

Super curious for that as well! Will have detailed updates with it
Not sure what the popular adjective is now days.... so I will just say, "SWEET"!
Hahaha works with me!!!! Thank youN
Very Nice. And easy.
Yes. Aside from a few holes not lining up. Very simple and easy
Looks great!
Thanks man I appreciate it!
are these the 20 degrees? if so, do you find that there's sufficient width to be used as dedicate steps?
They were a 0°
Looking good!!!
Thanks Sam!!!

Ooooh I like doz!! 😎
Looking good Jon! Way to use your noggin on the install 😎👍
Thanks man! Just figured it would be easier to show it this way. I hope it was helpful for people
Snorkel and steel bumper are needed..
They look good but I’m disappointed about all those misaligned holes.
It shouldn’t happen since we are paying lot of money just for some steel.. at least they should fit perfectly!
CD anything jig built will have tolerances, and with that you will have +/- margins. So technically they fit.
I agree it would have been nice for it to be 100% bolt on for the price. But it was off just ever so slightly.
I disagree with that. Proper Jigs should give you a near perfect results if done right. My SSO sliders had 16 bots per side, if I remember correctly, and everyone of them lined up perfectly. So technically, they kinda fit. LOL
Was looking at SSO as well!!
Misaligned holes is poor. I personally would not be happy with that because it would be in the back of mind everytime the trail got rough...
Clean....
does it stick out enough to prevent ppl from digging your doors when parked in a parking lot
Ish yea but it would have to be a realllllly low car
Trd jon it does fit fo 2022 4r unner limited?
The should yes. Just verify on their site. But It should.
Cali Raised Off Road and Cali Raised LED are completely two different companies
Now yea
How do you like them? Just ordered some for my Tacoma.
I really enjoy them. Only used them like twice for actual sliders but they seemed to work
Podrá montarse los de mi tacoma 2021 a una 4 Runner?
Did you have to remove the XREAS system?
They have KDSS compatible ones.
How did you "Koch" out the sliders where the holes were mis-aligned?
Thicker drillbit
R u happy u did Cali raised or do u like the nfab or tyger one more
They have been great and have done their job. But there are a ton of good brands out there.
Blue TRD Jon would u buy those ones again or go with another brand I have mixed feelings on selection
Tyger ones are not true rock sliders
Nathan Krassow not looking for off-road the 4runner to new to screw up looking for my daughter just getting in and out

Yea it was super solid with out them. No need at all.

I have an older version

Depends if you want sliders or not. The stock nfab looking steps from Toyota would be the best for getting into the vehicle imo
Link to the rock sliders aint working jon!
They mush have changed their URL. I will fix it when I get to a computer. Thank you!
Which ones did you end up ordering for the pro? I see some have two different types depending on kdss?
No KDSS on the pro

They are designed to be sliders over steps. Definitely check out slee. They are more Of steps
@@TRDJon TO late now, I own these. You would think they would have 2 functions. Protect your vehicle and use them as a step to get in.
I use mine as a step. Not an amazing step but it definitely works. Could try to sell on the marketplace if possible. Off road market is hot so I’m sure somebody will snag them.
@@TRDJon BTW, very strange how you had those 2 un-threaded holes on the frame while mine were threaded from the factory.
Very strange for sure! Unless caliraised changed up which holes. Cuz the 4r hasn’t changed at all. Is yours KDSS?
Snorkel and steel bumper are needed..
Not this one. Definitely a future project though 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
