Sansha, you have such an eye for the perfect look. Although it’s hard to choose, I think I like the cream-on-cream outfit the best. Thank you for your wonderful videos. 😊
I won’t be able to wear short sleeves until May, at least, my arms are the first parts to get cold. If I keep my home warm enough for short, even 3/4-sleeves, I’ll be too hot in any fabric warmer than cotton. Yes, hot flashes are such a joy! They never go away, either. That top looks great on you, though. Enjoy the youthful ability of your body to regulate its temperature while you can🙂
I love your white outfit, it’s so much mod chic and stylish than all that grim black and gray most people wear all winter. Black looks bad on almost everyone, gray on many, but everyone can wear either white or ivory. These colors cast light onto the face and give a lighter, late-winter, almost-spring feeling, too. There’s nothing more elegant than an all-white or -ivory outfit. I also love cool-toned pastels and taupe, all year-round. These lighter, slightly cooler colors are my best for my “Summer” coloring type, the overall aspect of which is cool and, especially, soft. The more the white in colors, the better they suit me and the more I want to wear them. I’m looking forward to the light blue “trend” they say is coming for spring, and the pale, cool pinks and light greens!
You have the most beautiful natural coloring, Sansha. Dark hair, blue eyes and white skin like yours are stunning. Never ruin that beautiful creamy skin with a real or fake tanning. Above all, protect your face, neck, ears and décolletage with high SPF sunscreen every day. Women my age, 63, really regret not doing so, their skin is wrinkled, spotted, blotchy and leathery. I learned early on, in my education and field training as a young geologist, how damaging the sun is. I quickly developed a red, sort of wrinkly, V-neck spot on my upper chest in a few months that I never could fully reverse, despite daily sunscreen since my early 20s. Plus, every single sunburn or even tan dramatically increases the chance of skin cancer, which is a horrible thing, it can ever be fatal. All of us women should embrace our natural coloring; no matter how hard we try, most of us are never going to have that prized Cafe Au Lait skin color. Fake tanning always looks horrible, orangey and well, very fake.
Thank you Kimberley! I religiously wear SPF 50 on my face and chest, and have been for the last 15 years. And as someone who was born in South Africa, I surprisingly don’t love being in the sun and avoid it as far as possible. I have to admit, I do use self tanner in the Summer - my skin almost looks translucent and I feel a bit more confident when I have a bit of colour on my skin😊
