There is a simple graphics mod for the Single Player mod of the game that 100% fixes the fog on all maps and it makes interchange look a million times better. So annoying BSG keeps it so foggy
Damn this makes me appreciate the hard work the devs put into Tarkov even more. It's not just some random map design, they copied actual places to make them as immersive as possible.

Interchange is my favorite map, so this was so cool to see. I liked it in game because it just felt so realistic, given the scenario of Tarkov you'd definitely make your way to a mall for supplies and missions. Didn't realize it was based on an actual mall!

This mall, other things i have seen about Russia (family that has traveled there), all the negativity does not seem to hold up. Sure there are lower income places as with every country around the world. However our western media paints this picture as if all of Russia lives in poverty and its some third world country where only the government can feed themselves. Russia is far far better than we are lead to believe. It looks like a gorgeous country and I for one would love to travel it someday. This type of content showing the local side makes me excited for that.
This video was filmed before 2022. Almost every company in this video left Russia after the start of the “special operation”. There are currently no IKEA , McDonalds and many other companies from this video. And this particular mall has almost half of of its stores closed and places are up for rent

I've been playing sense 2017 there is one thing about this game that not alot of others have done is just how much detail is in it imagine recreating that giant mall and all the work that go's in to it I feel like gamers take it for granted my first game I played was pong and that blew my mind lol
Tarkov did such a good job for public relations for Russia. I only knew about Russian history, not how they lived. Tarkov changed that and now I'm seriously considering learning Russian to get to know this place even better.
Fun fact that Goshan is the One of the variations of the name Gosha which on english would be George And yeah, Ashan, OBI and IKEA is really good interpritaded in Tarkov :)
In fact, there is a slight oversight. The northern interchange is closer to the game version than the southern one, or rather the shape of the IKEA part. You could have rolled down to the north of the city for greater reliability ) But thanks anyway, you're great. Now we need to show Tarkov streets. A collective image can be displayed throughout St. Petersburg. P.S. cash register area and ceiling height . . . it's all wrong. Damn, you should have gone north.

It's crazy to me that they basically copied 80% of the mall's actual design. I don't know if it's okay to just put it in the game like that and rebrand everything, but the attention to detail is very nice. I was surprised that there are houses across the street so close to the mall. Maybe a little noisy, but that'd be pretty cool to live in. I'd like to see them updated into Interchange and have an alternate source of household loot items or something.
I love the video man, This was great IRL content overall. I love Tarkov, but I also just enjoyed seeing a bit of the standard every day life of Russia. It is also shocking how much the items in tarkov line up with some of the real world items in the mall 😆

I've been playing sense 2017 there is one thing about this game that not alot of others have done is just how much detail is in it imagine recreating that giant mall and all the work that go's in to it I feel like gamers take it for granted my first game I played was pong and that blew my mind lol
I'm getting so much whiplash just seeing this place. Weird to think that Tarkov got so popular that they built a megamall around it.

Tarkov did such a good job for public relations for Russia. I only knew about Russian history, not how they lived. Tarkov changed that and now I'm seriously considering learning Russian to get to know this place even better.

In fact, there is a slight oversight. The northern interchange is closer to the game version than the southern one, or rather the shape of the IKEA part. You could have rolled down to the north of the city for greater reliability ) But thanks anyway, you're great. Now we need to show Tarkov streets. A collective image can be displayed throughout St. Petersburg.
P.S. cash register area and ceiling height . . . it's all wrong. Damn, you should have gone north.

It's crazy to me that they basically copied 80% of the mall's actual design. I don't know if it's okay to just put it in the game like that and rebrand everything, but the attention to detail is very nice. I was surprised that there are houses across the street so close to the mall. Maybe a little noisy, but that'd be pretty cool to live in. I'd like to see them updated into Interchange and have an alternate source of household loot items or something.

The mega mall in Novosibirsk, Russia matches interchange on the exterior more, but the stores are different

This makes me want an Interchange rework / expansion to incorporate the larger floor space and shops. With the latest engine updates I'm sure its possible, especially given Street's size. Either way, still awesome to see the IRL inspiration.
