Honey, maybe granny is out of State, not allowed by her daughter, many states have zero grandparents rights. I am 65, the grandmother to two girls, but my daughter doesn't allow me to call or visit. My daughter could drop them off here and I would be elated.
Where were the grandparents and great grandparents when this little girl needed them ???
