Just a little remind: he went to see doctor , the doctor said his vocal cord is too weak and not suitable for singing, but he didn’t give up and try to find the best way for him to sing without hurting his vocal cord , so may be some techniques he can’t use often but he is very staunch and hard working singer☺️ and I think he can tell the story of the song effectively and straightly with his pretty voice

He went to this doctor again last year , the doctor told him the same things: your vocal cord is still weak but you come out a strong voice by your own way :( yoon gave up to go karaoke and try different way to sing without hurting his vocal cord too much. he talked about this in Zion.T Naver radio show last month.

Personally I think that boy had a super sweet voice and he's the one who is the fittest person to sing pop songs and ballads which we all know mostly Korean and Asian loves more in a "slower" tempo kind of songs that powerhouse and big voice like Seungyoon, except if we're usual listen to many kind of rock blues and soul songs. I mean pop music always be like this, I guess, Tenor are much more "favorable" than the Baritone and Bass if we talk about popularity. Yoon is my ult bias in KPOP and I absolutely love his voice and the emotion he delivers in his performances. This particular stage is one of my favorites by him and he actually won first place on this tv competition with this performance. Interesting fact, the man on the side with the guitar is the original singer of this song, which I believe is from the early 90s. As others have stated, Yoon is currently the King of Masked Singer on the Korean (original) version of that show and I am so glad that more people are taking note of his beautiful voice.

And what you mentioned near the end about mastering the technique first and letting the emotion flow second??? (i'm paraphrasing) Can I suggest reacting to another top tier kpop vocalist? Taeil from NCT made a cover of Baby Baby (4MEN) and I feel like it's fitting because it makes sense that once you've polished the basics to perfection, you can think less about it and just think about what you're conveying, and i feel like Taeil is actually someone who's tuned his instrument to optimum level, because Baby Baby to me sounds both warm and pristine

I was privileged to get to hear him live in Seattle with Winner and he was amazing. The KOMS panelists have called him a great storyteller and I think that is a perfect description of him. "I love seeing people singing live, I don't mind when people lip-sync but there is just ... m o r e f u n .............." loved that. Kang Seungyoon is extremely well known in Korea. About ten years ago, I think it was around 2010 when he was only 16, his performance of "Instinctively" on the TV survival competition SuperstarK exploded when it came out and he made that song chart number one. At that time he had more of a rocker/guitar-singer image. Even though he did not win the competition, he was super popular and could have debuted right away, but he went to YG to train as an idol. What I am trying to say is that he literally gave up his own solo career and debuted with an idol group called Winner, after going through an intense competition within their own company. Currently Winner is on 'hiatus' since two of the members are doing their military service, so yes I am eagerly waiting for his solo album. Oh yeah, you probably know it already but he is currently on King of masked singer and all of his performances are really really good. If you're interested in him you can check them out. Personally I think that boy had a super sweet voice and he's the one who is the fittest person to sing pop songs and ballads which we all know mostly Korean and Asian loves more in a "slower" tempo kind of songs that powerhouse and big voice like Seungyoon, except if we're usual listen to many kind of rock blues and soul songs. I mean pop music always be like this, I guess, Tenor are much more "favorable" than the Baritone and Bass if we talk about popularity. Maybe because it's easier for public and general listener to catch up the voices even though that singer almost did an "annoying" things just to be a cool performer?!? I mean this is the reality.
I'm not going to said his fans as a stupid because at the end each of us had our own preferences, right?! I'm just gonna say that sometimes listener just got into the "music" with no care that much about is he or she can sing esp on live stages. But of course for a bigger stages I think I agree that the boy should be more realistic about what his best with what he can and can't do also understand the difference between what he wants to with what he needs or should do. And I think so far that boy got a learning about the reality right now. And it'll be good if only he take it in a positive way because basically he's good voices and had a great potential in a pop scenes but mostly it's him who "ruins" his own chances of life to be a better not only as a singer but also as a person, friends, and a person who is worthy to be someone that makes people wanting more of him as an "artist", not only because he had such an artistic senses. That boy should be show to us that he's the real trusted contender not a high privilege pretender anymore! And so far the time already shows that respect and responsibility are not a thing to talk about easily without a real actions. Before we ask about understanding and hopes people to understand us, I think we should do the same things before. Such a give and take. We've got anything from what we've been doing to the others so yeah this is a reality. Never cross your capacity and ruins the trust that we've got because no one like to be "betrayed".
You know what I mean, right?!? {for people who follow their career from the start, listen and read a lot of their official interviews will be more understand and related with what I'm taking about}

So i concluded seungyoon is a very skillful singer that knows his abilities well. Considering he learned how to sing for only 3 days and just went thru with the audition for ssk2 that shove him into stardom of national popularities. He's born talented. That's it. And i really like your honest reaction and i hope you can do more reaction about seungyoon as other reactors only react to those who can cater to fandoms that could increase their views lol. He's in king of masked as the current king and hopefully you can react to his performances. One thing i really love about seungyoon is when he sings, he brings all those emotions with him and i can't helped but to feel so touch when listening to him. He's a sincere singer. Yoon is my ult bias in KPOP and I absolutely love his voice and the emotion he delivers in his performances. This particular stage is one of my favorites by him and he actually won first place on this tv competition with this performance. Interesting fact, the man on the side with the guitar is the original singer of this song, which I believe is from the early 90s. As others have stated, Yoon is currently the King of Masked Singer on the Korean (original) version of that show and I am so glad that more people are taking note of his beautiful voice.

And what you mentioned near the end about mastering the technique first and letting the emotion flow second??? (i'm paraphrasing) Can I suggest reacting to another top tier kpop vocalist? Taeil from NCT made a cover of Baby Baby (4MEN) and I feel like it's fitting because it makes sense that once you've polished the basics to perfection, you can think less about it and just think about what you're conveying, and i feel like Taeil is actually someone who's tuned his instrument to optimum level, because Baby Baby to me sounds both warm and pristine

Thank you for your insight and comments on Yoon’s singing. I found it very interesting and informative. Your comments at the end about him feeling the emotion of what he is singing and conveying that to his audience really hit home. He always gets you in the feels. I was privileged to get to hear him live in Seattle with Winner and he was amazing. The KOMS panelists have called him a great storyteller and I think that is a perfect description of him. He is currently the reigning king on the Korean version of King Of Mask Singer. Hope you would have the chance to check out some of his performance there. I'll recommend his performance of "Lie, Lie, Lie" , and "Family Portrait" on KOMS, if you will want to check him out. He goes by Chow Yun Fat as his identity on the show.

Kang Seungyoon is extremely well known in Korea. About ten years ago, I think it was around 2010 when he was only 16, his performance of "Instinctively" on the TV survival competition SuperstarK exploded when it came out and he made that song chart number one. At that time he had more of a rocker/guitar-singer image. Even though he did not win the competition, he was super popular and could have debuted right away, but he went to YG to train as an idol. What I am trying to say is that he literally gave up his own solo career and debuted with an idol group called Winner, after going through an intense competition within their own company. Currently Winner is on 'hiatus' since two of the members are doing their military service, so yes I am eagerly waiting for his solo album. Oh yeah, you probably know it already but he is currently on King of masked singer and all of his performances are really really good. If you're interested in him you can check them out.
