They will be perfect for making food delivery, if the range and speed is good enough.

They have similar products but in ebike form which I feel would be more useful since pedal assist will greatly increase range

they are nice but not large enough to carry anything useful

    • @Blox117

id recommend they make a deck that is extendable: you can make it much wider when carrying stuff on it, and when you get home you can push it back into normal length

    They seem surprisingly functional!
Would the front wheel be swapped to a larger diameter in the final product? I wonder how well heavier cargo be handled on uneven terrain with 10" unsuspend.

As a prototype its ok, but the final version definitely needs proper front and back lights, and turn signals would also be a good addition, plus other refinements. If they want to market it for food and other delivery drivers, it also needs a lot bigger battery that would last you for a whole shift, at least as an optional add-on.
The sit down version is problematic in certain countries as it does not meet the legal definition of an electric kickscooter.
Looking forward to the final production version and your full review.

This is a very welcome category to the EV world. People are also very afraid about everything new so make the design smile, make the front of if have a smile and the sides of if be cute. That will make the life of the end users much much better.

Cool idea, but looks like it could definitely use some more refinement. Both scooters have you sitting/standing really close to the handlebars. I think the trick is to improve that without lengthening the entire scooter.
For the sit down version, the basket's back end should be vertical instead of slanted back towards your knees, which would allow for a vertical handle bar post that can be pushed out forward right up to the basket. Right now there's a gap of ~8 cm between the handle bars and the basket. With a vertical basket, I bet the handlebar post could be pushed forward ~15 cm. They could also attach the basket's structure directly to the handlebar post, maximizing space and improving the entire unit's structural rigidity. That would also for a taller basket, possibly with a removable shelf so you can double up the amount of groceries you can put in there. This geometry may also open more space directly underneath the rider where it could be possible to fit the battery, putting more weight in the center of the scooter and giving more space in the back for an additional storage basket. If the front basket were a bit wider, it would also be great for a kid to sit in; although it'd probably be better off with a one piece plastic tub construction with the frame structure built around it.
For the stand up version, again, there's also a pretty large gap between the tub and the handlebars. Pushing the handlebars forward would allow them to be set vertically. I see there's a little angled structural support there, but IMO, that basket area needs a structure linked to the the handlebar post that runs along side the basket and connects to the front of the unit. That tub could also be quite a bit taller, which should add minimal extra cost. I do like the idea of the tub that can be replaced so food delivery people could use it with their insulated bags, which would interfere with my structural support idea, but then again, I've only spent about 10 minutes thinking about it... so... lol
As far as cargo bikes go, these things are much cheaper... but still pretty pricey. I love the shorter length and lower weight compared to a cargo bike, but without pedals, these need bigger batteries IMO. They should just get rid of the stand up version's powertrain and only use the more powerful version; otherwise I'd be worried that the standup version won't sell very well and there'd be no point in producing it.

I don't want or need one, but I do think that it is cool to have more options for getting stuff done around a city without needing to drive a car. I don't have a car anymore either, but I only shop for myself and I shop 2 or 3 times a week so I don't need to carry too much at one time - no problem fitting my shopping into a backpack. For someone that needs to transport more groceries or other shopping, these scooters look pretty useful.

Nice to see in the intro that you have your mojo back. There is no place like home. Maybe you should talk to your friend about building an euc to your design. Can I suggest something under 25kg, removable batteries, aircraft alloy, suspension that works and does not "clunk". Think lighter Hero or suspended MSX

should be good for light Urban use, bringing home groceries etc... I really like the design and the lightweight, although having to tip it up to get it in the elevators makes the fact that you can do that kind of moot, since you would have to empty it to get it into the elevator. the other day I did an inventory job at a store one of the products they sold was a kayak that folds up INTO A BRIEFCASE SIZE... that's what they should do with the cargo basket to make it more easily storable in smaller apartments. if they make the cargo basket fold in almost flat on itself, then you can stand it on end in a closet. and because it folds inward putting items into it would hold it open.

Novelty items I don’t know. There had to be someone asking for these but I feel they are not appealing like not mass appeal. Too tame for fun long term. There is a bike, a motorcycle that folds so the the wheels move toward each other. That type of design would be a good suggestion if they want to improve footprint so that this takes up less space.

Why I think it won't sell very well. #1 to me it'd make more sense to just get a removable cargo trailer for a bike or cool scooter like a on/off road scooter so you're not stuck lugging around a cargo box when it's not needed. In a way I think it's very cool but most people don't have money to spend on a second electric cargo scooter. I think making ebikes & scooters that are transformable into multipurpose vehicles is the way to go. Also would love to see affordable electric velomobiles with removable lightweight aerodynamic full weather enclosures for all weather commuting. Something like an electric trisled Aquila 3 that could also be used for fun recreation off road but also attach an enclosure for transportation in rain cold weather.

Test the seated version first. The standup one is just too slow. I've never heard Reise and Muller pronounced "properly". Thanks for that 🙂. Not so sure this would be better than a small cargo bike, but it would be worth a try. Big cargo bikes are a 'no thanks' for me. Too hard to park both at home and at the destination.
