I've had one for almost 10 years and I love it but not the most convenient for a 2 zone cook like a steak. Rather use my Weber kettle . But an oval komado with a heat deflector would solve this issue .
My biggest problem with it is just how expensive the cart is. $400 is ridiculous for something that every other grill just comes with. Also 20" is a bit restrictive size wise, and I don't think they have like an "elevated" grate for extra space.
I went and checked out the price of these damn things, OMG! What's the point??? If your a rich guy and like your office too much sure... If your a real man, spend a weekend making one the old fashioned way out of recycled bricks! This reminds me of Porsche drivers. I'll happily pay $1000 for a wrought-iron Argentine fire place, but this is just a brick pit in disguise.
“If your a real man”… bruh just let people enjoy their grills. Just because it’s not in your price range doesn’t mean it’s not great. Also, pretty sure a Porsche is an amazing experience for those who can afford it😂
Kamado grills are just a type of grill, much like a "pellet grill" or "gas grill." So a Big Green Egg is just a brand of kamado grill. The main thing to look at is the thickness of the ceramic and the construction of the grill - we have found pretty much all premium kamado brands perform just as well as one another. A lot of times it just comes down to what grills fit the accessories you like, or the cooking surface area to match your needs. www.bbqguys.com/bbq-grills-smokers/kamado-grills
Thank you for the great considerations and awesome enthusiasm!
You bet!
So basically get a Weber charcoal grill unless you want to do long burns
What's the best Kamado grill in your opinion?
how do i heat soup or boil water in this thing? thanks
With a saucepan.
Plug it in.
How come the aluminum/metal Kamados belong to the same group as the one made of ceramic? Do they have the same heat efficiency / isolation? Thanks!
We group these together because they are both Kamados by design. See more here: www.bbqguys.com/bbq-learning-center/buying-guide/kamado-grills

A heat deflector can make a world of difference!
all of these benefits practically mean the same thing: it traps heat
That's part of it for sure!
Love my blaze Kamado. Solid aluminum. Last a lifetime. No seals to replace or ceramic to heat brittle and fracture. :)
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for watching!
What is a kamado?
Kamado grills take their name from the term used to describe a traditional Japanese wood or charcoal fueled cooking appliance called a kamado.
I can't hear you over that dreadful background beat... awful...
ive never heard such BS
